Everyday Tarot, 06/03/11: Safe Trip – Chariot / Ace Pent. / Hierophant

When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others. - Peace Pilgrim

With all this Mercurial energy flirting with Neptune, I’ve been seeing nothing but lack of clarity everywhere I turn. I was looking for a little direction and definition when I pulled out the cards for Today’s Tarot forecast, thinking I should pull extras because I knew one wouldn’t be clear enough! So I opted for a simple, 3-card Mind / Body / Spirit spread.

For Mind, we have the Chariot or “Child of the Power of the Waters,” associated with Cancer. Body is the Ace of Stones (Pentacles) or “Root of the Powers of Earth,” connected to Earth (duh). Spirit is the Hierophant or “Magus of the Eternal Gods,” associated with Taurus. Seeing two of the three card are Major Arcana, I know the message is powerful for anyone ready to pay attention.

Home is wherever your heart is, but the direction you drive your thoughts dictates where you settle. What are you focusing on? Where you’re going, or where you’ve been? Beautiful sights, or blights on the scenery? Your assessment of reality alters your satisfaction levels tremendously.

To fare best now, take care of yourself physically! Eat well, drink lots of water, get rest and recreation in between your driving shifts. Don’t want to fall asleep at the wheel (or will). There’s time for eating and visiting and referring to your maps. At your best, you are unlikely to miss the signs.

All this makes for a pleasant journey to your destination—the breathtaking Cathedral of Inner Peace. Your sanctuary awaits, solid, everlasting, and filled with ancient understanding of truths like who and what you really are.

What do you see, out your window?

  1. Here’s my 3-card spread for today: The World, 3 of coins, and the Queen of Cups, in that order. I made plans with a friend to go to one of the biggest art supply stores in the city (we’re in NYC) and buy drawing pads and pencils. I may go to my hippy dippy synagogue later today (the cards seem to indicate it’d be a good day for groups), for Friday night services. It looks like a great day!

  2. CancerMom says:

Interesting question. Out my window I see dead grass, our sprinkler system is broken & I don’t want to call the repair guy. Also I see 1 side of our garage & inside is the water softening system – also broken, it doesn’t autogenerate, I need to call a different repair person. Yard lighting system is out as well & this is an electrician & the yard-light guy, 2 different people! There are lots of other things that need to be repaired & after a nightmare of a remodel I have a hard time dealing w/ repair people – it’s like hearding cats! (no offense Jewel). It’s funny because 2 of these repairs are for things in our yard – EARTH!

No time to fix things “house” things today because I’m taking my kids & mom to a healer today. This is mom’s 3rd visit for her blood cancer, my daughter’s hair is falling out & 3 doctor’s & lots of bloodwork can tell us why & my son for healing work on his knee from a bad bone bruise & for shoulder pain-off & on pain for 2+ years. After the healer I’m taking my son for a contrast MRI to see if he needs surgery on his shoulder. Not that I don’t “believe” in the healer I’m just covering all my basis. I feel shitty for saying this but I hope he does need suregy so we can just get it taken care of once & for all!

What about ME? I’ve had a really big cup of coffee (can you tell?) exactly how I like it-YUM. My daughter will be home for a few days which is always fun (except I think she’s going to church this weekend but like Scarlet I’ll think about this another day). I’m excited to be helping my family, it nourishes my soul – it’s a CancerMom thing.

Then maybe tonight I’ll be a good wife & “thank” my husband for putting us in a position which allows us to do the above mentioned things.

THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY! And I’ll pay attention today & keep my energy in check as not to offend too many today!

    (((Dixie)))

    • Cancer Mom it sounds like you have a lot on your plate, feeling like you will make it through all this.

Good thing you will remember to thank your hubby and show him gratitude

    • Wow, what a day! And I also think it’s smart to supplement your families healing work with traditional medicine. Everything has it’s place.

Good luck with all your Mom duties today! And for your family as well. ♥

  3. The sun is glistening on the water like diamonds today. The birds are singing, zero humidity and one or two cotton ball clouds. I want to get lost in this day and let it restore all that which is in me. However I have to go to the hospital today for a few hours work. Zoom out a little further. In two months I have to decide where I am going to live and work. Here or there. Both pictures have so much to offer.

    • What a lovely picture you paint! Makes me want to get lost in that day, too. (Well, not the work part. I already have some of that!)

I have faith you’ll make a good decision about your future and make it work. You’re one formidable broad, in case you weren’t aware. ♥

      • Thanks Dixie, when I bent over this morning and my arse got stuck in the door, I realized that I did get broad this winter. Reality check, time for a diet. Heck maybe tomorrow, I’m daydreaming today.

  4. Too funny, Dixie! I WAS falling asleep at the wheel driving home after cleaning my mom’s house all day. I’m sorry to admit that. I just wanted to get back to my own bed. But then I took a shower, woke up, and knew I must check Daily Tarot…
