The Zombie Tarot’s version of the Four of Cups is especially expressive: it’s daydreaming time. No doubt this man sees the Queen he married, and not the Zombie she’s become. And she’s fine with that, no need to go out seeking fresh brains every night. She has what she needs, right here. Maybe his brains aren’t the biggest or the freshest. But she can pretend they are. The dreams are filling in the blanks.
Be especially aware of how you’re daydreaming. Are you using fantasy to fill in areas of discontent in your real life? Those pockets of discontent are there for a reason: to alert you to what areas need your attention, what is not aligned in your life. They serve a function!
Daydreaming done in moderation can be a great source inspiration for your life; overdone, it can replace living your life. Find the right mix, okay? Daydreaming is best used to relax, inspire and expand. If it has become an escape from reality for you, ask yourself why your reality smells of rotting flesh. ‘Cause maybe you ought to do something about that.
