Do you have one? What call do you heed, even when you know it’s not in your best interests? What lures you, even when it costs way too much, even when it makes you like—or respect—yourself a little less, if you let yourself think about it much?

I don’t mean you have to stop. Free will, always.
But acknowledge it for God’s sakes! Calculate the cost, know it’s a decision and quit pretending it’s “that which doesn’t exist if I hide my eyes.” We’re not three anymore.
In that act right there, you buy back a little of your power.
I’m kind of big on that “holding on to your power” thing. It comes in handy.
Then, it becomes a conscious act—and whether or not you should do something about it, whether it’s going to trip you up in other important areas of your life, whether it gives you as much pleasure/relief/reward to continue…okay. That’s up to you.
Sorry I’m dissing on your denial.
