Mood Management: Tarot Forecast, Jan 2 – 8, 2017

Sometimes when I’m out and about, people will come up to me to comment on my hair.

Some are complimentary, or they tell me I’m brave. That amuses me a little.

Because I’m not scared of hair color. I’m not scared of looking funny for a little while if something goes weird. But most of all (and what they are usually talking about), I’m not scared of other people disapproving of me.

Happens all the time.

Really, I like when that happens. As we live as true to ourselves as possible, others will disapprove. Which is quite convenient, if you ask me. The ones that don’t vibe with me get pre-sorted out, no fuss. They can be with their people and I, with mine.

Reactions are personal to the reactor, not the recipient. Reactions are never really about what that person is seeing so much as they are about how an individual interprets what they see. There is always a filter of belief coloring reaction.

[bctt tweet=”Beliefs are the filters we forget we are peeking through. #OnMyRadar” via=”no”]

We get to pick, what beliefs to hold. We get to filter the color of our own reactions. That’s a useful little trick, right there.

Mood Management: Tarot Forecast, Jan 2 - 8, 2017 1

My sense of the coming week is like subjectivity on steroids. It’s feeling watery as Hell. Whether one likes the sensation or not all that much, it behoves us all to wide whatever waves we’ve got as best we can, no? Plus we can get some fun out of the deal.

Monday, Ace of Cups. There is a bit of a feeling of a fresh start. Reflective mood. Where have I been? Where am I going? Time to consider where you’re at emotionally. Contemplation will come naturally.

Tuesday, Strength rx: Just a little bit of impatience. All those fresh starts of the New Year may just not be as instant as you’d prefer. To deal, focus on one thing, one area of attention, and in that area, take one concrete, tangible act. If you intend to keep a nicer space, don’t feel overwhelmed. Pick up one small area, and fix THAT. The feelings of being overwhelmed and impatient can be sidestepped by allowing yourself more breathing space. It will help.

Wednesday, Nine of Swords upright: Pegging this as worry. Suspicion or paranoia possible. Trust is a bit elusive. If anything is not clear to you today, let it sit and clarify. It will clarify and your perceptions may be murky. No need to jump right on top of ambiguous stimuli. A lot of unrest is internal, so let the fog clear before drawing conclusions.

Thursday, The Magician: The garden grows according to what you plant. The finished building runs according to the foundation you lay. What you have now is an outcropping of what you laid down initially. Realize where you are is according to how you lay down the foundation. Not from a judgey/self-critical space. From a standing-in-your-personal power space. Focus and prioritize feeling good to reclaim your power.

Friday, Page of Pentacles Rx: Easy to drop a detail. Easy to miss a little something or other. Doublecheck and take your time. Go back over plans and give ’em a second readthrough. Be flexible. I’m seeing lateness, little annoyances. Be prepared for minor slowdowns, one thing at a time, easy on the multitasking, things will go smoother. Potential for miscommunication, someone “not getting the message” so be aware.

Saturday, Two of Pentacles rx: Something could easily fall through the cracks. I’m seeing someone oversleeping their alarm, missing a plane, etc. Have backup plans in place, and give yourself space to pick up any dropped stitches because there will be some. Then you’ll be sitting pretty.

Sunday, Four of Pentacles: Some ups and downs throughout the week, but a lot of them are just perceptual. This some rest and ease in stability. Some rest. You can exhale today.

Overview/Advice, Ten of Cups: Have as much fun as you can during the week. Don’t judge on terms of outside conditions. Judge in terms of how you feel, and prioritize your feelings. Many times in the choice between looking for a thought that feels good vs. accurate assessments, we choose accurate because we don’t want to feel foolish. But I’d argue to always assume the best. Even if you know it’s not all warm and fuzzy, it’s okay to remember it has nothing to do with you. Put lots of emphasis on being as happy as you can and it will make motion forward much easier.

Affirmation: I can deliberately reach for joyous thoughts. You don’t have control over many outside conditions. There are lots of things any of us look at and will think, this can be better. We all have the choice, how involved we want to be in other people’s heads, or do we want to just reach for joyous thoughts? Every disaster thus far has worked out. Look at what you feel better thinking.

The quality of the experience is about mood managements. You may not initially think it’s within your control but it is.

How are you with mood management?

Freedom Via Perspective: Weekly Tarot, October 17 – 23, 2016

I had a meltdown last week. And I’m thinking what I learned from it, will come in handy this upcoming week.

It was over my butterfly bush.

I planted this bush years ago and it grew and grew and grew, crazy big. I let the morning glory vines run amok over it. The butterflies and hummingbirds and bees ate from the blooms. I kept birdseed in the bush, and scattered seed down in front. This bush became a haven for the local wildlife. It gave me some privacy (along with the tree that sprouted up next to it) oh, the smell of those delicate lavender blooms in the breeze!

butterflybush

Wild and untamed. Just like me.

I adored that butterfly bush and pretty much every day sat outside and admired it. I was even planning on, come time to move, taking a whole bunch of branches so I could plant baby butterfly bushes wherever I ended up. My lovely bush’s children! See, I had this figured out.

I’m not kidding, by the way. I’d discussed this with the bush.

So when my landlady stopped by to tell me she needed to “trim it away from the house.” I winced, knowing she’d take way too much. But you know, what are you gonna do?

"Trimmed."

“Trimmed.”

When I later went outside to survey the damage, I expected to be unhappy. I didn’t expect the empty space that greeted me. She killed the bush and the tree next to it and pretty much everything else, excepting a cluster of random flowers that had migrated a couple years ago and a pathetic little shrub I’d never cared for much.

I freaked the Hell out. I cried for two days after and–though I’m not proud of it–became hysterical when the landlady came over to “smooth things over” after the fact, suggesting I should buy a bench to put on the pile of mostly empty rocks.

It was not pretty.

Of course, I eventually did what one does when they’re upset about anything. I looked for ways to feel better.

I bought a shepherd’s hook, and some colorful and butterfly-friendly flowers (in pots!) to help fill that space. And while it’s certainly not the same and it will take a while to rebuild my wildlife oasis, it IS much more cheery than the rocks and it did make me feel a lot better. I can now look over there without feeling upset.

20161005_153415_hdr

And once I started feeling better, I realized it’s not the bush itself that gave me so much joy. That’s what I first thought, in grieving the bush. But it’s not true.

When the landlady looked at the bush, she saw an unkempt mess growing too close to the building and making the property look run down. I get that. Whereas I saw this beautiful, wild hunk of nature that fed birds and butterflies and ME.

But it was the exact same bush we were looking at. It wasn’t that one of us was right and the other wrong. It wasn’t the bush itself that gave me so much joy (or her so much frustration). It was how we thought about that bush, shaping feelings around it.

It was specifically my love and appreciation for that bush that gave me such great joy. The love and appreciation came from ME. It grew in my heart, not in front of my house.

The bush was my excuse to feel good, sure. And it was easy to use it that way. But I can love and appreciate anything! My capacity for love cannot be cut down with a chainsaw. I can love and appreciate new flowers, new bird feeders, and the opportunity to learn more about how to attract wildlife I enjoy so much. Happiness doesn’t come from butterfly bushes, even ones so majestic as mine was.

[bctt tweet=”Appreciation isn’t born from circumstance. It’s from how you think about circumstance.” via=”no”]

All feelings are like that. It’s not outside conditions that determine happiness. It’s how you feel about those conditions. And how you feel about those conditions is driven by how you think about those conditions. You have control over what you’re thinking.

Do you realize how much pure, unadulterated freedom there is in knowing that? Use that insight. Don’t let my butterfly bush die in vain!

Audio Version of Forecast

We’ve got lots of Cups and Swords this week. Expect for emotion to run high in the beginning of the week particularly, and strong potential for conflict afoot. So let’s see how we can get you through this as intact and as happy as possible!

Monday, Five of Wands: A contentious start. There are plenty of things people are fighting about. It’s out there. But is is something you want to engage in? Sure, you can. But does it help and does it make you happy? Just know you can either engage or not. Personally? I’m gonna go hide from it all and dig on my flowers. But what you do is up to you.

Tuesday, The Moon: Lies out there. Lies, lies, lies. You may be hearing the lies or be tempted to tell the lies. But reality is blurry today. I’d suggest to keep yourself on the straight and narrow, honesty-wise. You can use this flavor of energy constructively for creative projects, old fashioned escapism like good novels, movies, or art. Anything Neptune-ish. A nice bath will wash away a lot! Good nap day, too. Get plenty of sleep.

Wednesday, Ace of Cups: A touch emotional and a little raw. Not overwhelming, but a little raw. So tread lightly and be kind, starting with yourself and working your way out.

Thursday, Five of Cups Rx: This energy is a little lighter reversed but still not super fun. There is a feeling of being let down or disappointment.  To deal with it, stick to what you know is right and feels okay to you and don’t worry about anybody else. Not like you control that anyway. But give yourself permission to focus on you. Manage your own feelings.

Friday, King of Cups: Emotional maturity is the order of the day. Be kind, generous and compassionate. Which always starts in the mirror with yourself, period. Not a battle day. More a supportive circle of people kind of day. Either do it for others or hang with those who do it for you.

Saturday, Five of Swords: Contentious energy. While the Five of Wands (Monday) is the fight, this is the victor emerging from argument. On a personal level, it’s really going to be about how emotionally attached you are a particular outcome. If you feel emotionally defeated, realize it’s a FEELING based on your thoughts, not a REALITY based on the hard and fast. You have control over thoughts.

Sunday, Hermit Rx: Mix alone and social time. Don’t completely withdraw to your cave. Spend some time for you, some time interacting, which will make the best day.

Overview/Advice, Queen of Wands Rx: Avoid stubbornness and controlling tendencies. This Queen Rx can be a control freak. Other people’s issues? BUTT OUT! Life will go a whole lot better that way.

Affirmation: I love life. There is a lot of struggle and strife right out our windows right now. You decide whether you sit and stare out the window, whether you go outside and engage in the fighting, or whether you pull down the shades and turn on a movie. Focus on what makes you happy, your intentions, desires, needs and wants. Let the world deal with their own needs and issues. It’s not your job to fix the world! But you can help–by improving your experience. The collective is nothing more than individuals doing their part. You want a happy world? You do your part by turning on your happiness. Each person, doing their own thing in their own lives, inspiring by their example, is how collective change is born. So be that person.

How are you doing staying in your own lane?

Looking for What You Like: Tarot Forecast, Sept 26 – Oct 2

Back in the days when I worked in an office. I liked to give out cards at Christmas. Maybe stick a candy cane to them or something. But the real gift was the note inside.

For each person I worked with, I would spend a little while and write out a handwritten note of appreciation, mentioning something I particularly liked or enjoyed about them. I wanted each note to be personal, and completely heartfelt.

Sounds lovely, huh?

But you know the problem with that, right?

There’s always “that one guy,” or “that woman…” agh! The one that gets under your skin and drives you crazy.

“I don’t wanna do a note for So-and-So,” I’d think, a little belligerently, to tell the truth. Except it would be pretty rude to hand out sweet notes to everybody but that one.

This meant a few of my cards took an extra long time to compose. These challenging cards required me to step outside my ego a little bit and relax the defensive stance long enough to find something true, uplifting and kind in my heart to say about the somebody who absolutely drove me batty.

Funny thing, about those tough-to-write notes? While my notes were well received in general, the hard ones were the best received and without exception, my interactions always improved after writing one of those harder notes.

This week is a lot like that. Look for what you like–even if it’s harder to see than what’s in your face–and you’ll do well.

Audio Version of This Forecast – more rambly goodness.

Monday, Future – Four of Wands rx: Don’t run too far into the future, in your head. Don’t make a big deal out of, “Where is this going, where is this going, where is this going?” There is a lot of wiggle room in the energy right now. Wrong turns may be just the break you need. So get your chill on.

Tuesday, Unconscious Desires – Knight of Pentacles rx: It’s okay to want what you want. More money, more stuff, more friends, more comfort. It’s ALL okay to want, whatever it is you want, for yourself, without guilt. Your suffering does not add to the life of another. Lifting up yourself is contributing to the whole at the same time. If you find yourself fussing about wants, allow yourself the space to like what you like without guilt. Appreciate what is already around you; that will clear up any wobbles in your vibe in very short order.

Wednesday, What to Avoid – Ace of Cups: Normally, the Ace of Cups would be a small feeling, one that’s just taking root. So practice an awareness of your emotions. If you find yourself out of emotional sorts, actively look to soften that emotion and get re-centered. So back off from the specific negatives to more generally negative…to more generally positive. Any uncomfortable emotion, look to soften it up in the early stages before it gets bigger.

[bctt tweet=”Shift toward positive emotions when feelings are little, before they’ve grown. #OnMyRadar”]

Thursday, Cons & Friendships – Two of Wands rx: Be aware of the egos of friends – or how they may step on your ego’s toes. There is no need for everybody to see things the same way. Your job is not to set anyone else’s vision. It’s to be true to your own vision. Today, the work is not to gain widespread agreement. The work is to live what you know.

Friday, Lesson – Empress: Nurture yourself! Self-care is awesome. Arts and crafts, or any kind of creative project, is especially rejuvenating. Soothe yourself and be gentle with you.

Saturday, Problem – The Fool: This combination says, the issue is what you don’t know. Your job is to gather more info. It’s a day for fact finding.

Sunday, Finances – Death rx: Ugh! No, I’m not going to say, “Your bank account looks like death warmed over.” Because, c’mon! But I will say, if you have been working on finances? You’ve made strides. To go further, add more harmony in your life and less discord. Don’t fight about money with anybody. Out loud or in your head, don’t bother with how anybody else believes money should be spent. Look for areas of agreement, and ignore other stuff. Think of a field that’s been burned out, with new seedlings germinating and popping up. It takes time, so be patient! Let it be and it will shift.

Overview/Advice, Blocking or Covering – Page of Wands rx: Stress from people pulling different ways this week. Don’t be overbearing in advocating for your opinion or option. You don’t have to agree with everybody or anybody. Just look to understand other perspectives. That is enough.

Affirmation – The better it gets, the better it gets. You will find what you’re looking for. So if you’re looking for ways to correct you kid, you’ll find issue after issue after issue to correct. If you’re looking for awesome things about your kid, you’ll find that, over and over and over, again too. Look for what you love. Don’t push against anything this week. It’s fine, not to find harmony with everybody and everything.  Just look for what you like. And have an awesome week!

Do you try to look for what you like in situations?

Faith Through the Hills: Weekly Tarot, Aug 29 – Sep 4

When I was a kid, there were certain back roads we went down sometimes, that had big hills. And mom would sometimes drive these roads, way faster than she probably should have. And it my tummy would drop, like being on a roller coaster ride.

I laughed and laughed and laughed. And there was nothing I loved better than when we got to drive on one of those hilly backroads.

I loved it even more than when we sang “Row Your Boat” rounds in the car and would get confused and laugh all over the verses.

For some people, the way we rode those roads wouldn’t have been fun. It would have been terrifying or upsetting.

But it never was for me. I had complete faith in my mom. I knew it was all okay. Never entered my mind it would be anything but. So I got to fully experience the joy of how it felt.

Faith is a beautiful thing.

Note to self: Clean rug before using the good camera.

Note to self: Clean rug before using the good camera.

Faith will serve you well in the week ahead. A lot of this week has kind of a slow-motion feel to it. That makes sense as we’re hitting full on Mercury Rx. And Mercury has been showing his butt some even during the shadow leading up to it, so it looks like this one might be a little ride (Aug 30 – Sep 22).

But it’s okay. Really, it’s okay.

Because you know what? What the ride is like is never about the condition of the road. It’s always about the emotional state of the rider. Those bumps and potholes are always gonna be there. They can be either annoying and scary or exciting and fun, depending on where you are vibrating at when you hit ’em.

Have faith and have fun.

Monday, The Emperor: Stay in your own lane and watch the road. The Emperor is about control, but to me? His strongest position of control is always that of self-control. What other people are doing is of less interest than what he wants, what he’s doing, and where he’s going. Nothing gets him to lose sight of his goals.

Tuesday, Ace of Pentacles: One step at a time, one item off the checklist at a time. A great day to enjoy nature or physical pleasures like good food or yes, sex.

Wednesday, Six of Cups Rx: A little uneasiness around other people’s words. Who is trustworthy? You don’t have to figure it out on the spot. Time will sort it out. You just remain rooted in what you know to be.

Thursday, The Hermit Rx: Don’t take another’s word for reality. You don’t have to isolate–in fact, I would suggest you don’t. But everything, everything, everything you need to measure according to your own yardstick.

Friday, The Fool: Have some fun for God’s sakes!

[bctt tweet=”Fun isn’t where you’re at or what you’re doing. Fun is all attitude. #OnMyRadar ” username=”goddess_dix”]

Saturday, Knight of Swords Rx: If somebody says something that rubs you the wrong way, let it roll off your back. Don’t worry or overthink it. Distract yourself!

Sunday, Ace of Cups Rx: Emotional replenishment time today. You may be a little low on the emotional energy. If you are, it’s going around. Be gentle with yourself. Schedule light and make room for fun. You’ll soon feel better.

Overview/Advice, Six of Pentacles: Pace yourself, and budget your energy. Generosity is awesome, but the most important kind of generosity is that of the spirit.

Affirmation: Bat. The bat symbolizes a rebirthing process. Hello, caves!

You feeling the faith?

Ready to Soar: Weekly Flow Tarot, June 27 – July 3, 2016

Timing is everything. I can do the same things, but if my timing is off–best indicated by how I FEEL about it, in the moment–it just doesn’t work. But when I am feeling good about it? Much different story.

[bctt tweet=”To get your timing right, act when the thought gives you joy. #OnMyRadar” username=”goddess_dix”]

When I look at the forecast for this week, I’m seeing someone flopping themselves about, shaking the dust off of their clothes. Sort of like a wet dog, you know? Shiver and shake to break free of the mess, getting ready to take off. That’s how this week feels to me.

I totally blame Mars retrograde. We’ve been buried up to our necks in everything that isn’t right, is not working, feels stuck, and cannot be changed for what seems like forever now. The good news, of course, is that we had opportunity to see what’s not working, and the 29th, Mars goes direct. So that very frustrating feeling of being unable to move forward or accomplish whatever you like should start dissipating. YAY!

And next week’s forecast bears this dynamic out. The beginning of the week is murky, but it turns around to a lot more clear and optimistic towards the end. The weekend is perfect for clearing your head and clearing the air.

20160625_134452_HDR

Monday, Eight of Wands: Take heart! While situations are not yet settled, it’s breaking loose and it won’t be long before resolution will be upon us. You may not be able to see just what’s happening behind the scenes, but trust that movement will be forthcoming. If unsure of what you need to do, set the topic aside for a few days. End of the week, it will be more clear. This also has a feeling for me, of being inundated with details. If that’s true for you, just list it out and go one thing at a time.

Tuesday, The Moon: Be aware of stories that are compelling, but not factually accurate. Perhaps–no probably–the feeling content is the same, though. Great time for a little escape, too. Movies, books or music? Divine intervention, right there.

Wednesday, The Sun rx: Ah, let’s get happier today! Optimism is starting to take root. Feed it, to see it grow. Enjoy it. Revel in it–don’t talk yourself down. The lift is timely. Mars goes direct.

Thursday, The Empress: Feed yourself well today. Share it. Literally and figuratively, eat quality. Creative projects go well. Self-care and replenishment is always a good choice when the Empress shows up. Time in the garden or in nature is especially rewarding.

Friday, Ace of Cups: A little something you run across may really touch your heart today. A look, a few words, a tone of voice, something small. May take you by surprise. That’s okay. Wherever your feelings run deeper than you’d initially expect, it’s tapped another, deeper emotional vein. Look at it, with an open, compassionate heart–both the “little thing” and what it triggers.

Saturday, Page of Swords: Talk it out. Negotiate. Communicate. Come to an understanding. This is a great day for clear, plain talk. Understanding wins, and thoughts and ideas come into focus. Get quiet and clarity will settle upon you like a butterfly landing on your head.

Sunday, Queen of Swords: Prioritize. Make good on your agreements from yesterday.  Stay laser focused on goals and don’t get sidetracked with irrelevant tangents. If you take this approach, you’ll get a lot done today! Lean towards rational and fair for the best outcomes.

Overview/Advice, The World: You got this! You know that, right? Because the World says you do! Throughout the week, make your decisions based on who you want to be–the responsible, together and accomplished adult that you are. Act in a way you’d feel fine about other people knowing, even if nobody is looking. Responsibility and applying your full skillset in an honest, straightforward way to the challenges of the week pays off.

Affirmation, Nine of Cups: I love this card as an affirmation prompt. So many possibilities! All is perfect in my world. I’m where I’m supposed to be, doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I am at the right place at the right time. I am content. I am satisfied. I am enough. I appreciate what I have. I am grateful. I am joyful. I love my life. Everything is always working out for me. Life is fabulous!

Nobody’s Business But My Own – Weekly Flow Tarot, May 16 -22

People try–sometimes VERY hard–to heal others. Loved ones, strangers, friends, acquaintances. It doesn’t matter.

And there is beauty in that, the way humans reach out and care about each other, even if that caring at times comes across as overbearing or otherwise onerous.

But right here and right now, with the energy what it is and the sky what it is and everything else what it is, the healing must begin at home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_html.

May 16 - 22 2016

Tarot Cups are very well represented this week–maybe a little too well represented–with a smattering of Swords and just a dash of Wands making appearances. That tells me it’s gonna be a squishy week! Now, it can be emotional-all-over-the-place squishy, or you can use the very same energy to tap into magical, mystical forms of expression. I’m opting for the latter.

In other words, talk to the flowers and trees and little critters. Ask your body what it wants from you! Imagine sending your “roots” deep into the earth and connecting to the solid, stabilizing energy of our world. Bless your food and infuse it with good health. Thank your house for keeping you safe and thank your car for moving you to and fro. Thank your feet for holding you up and thank plants for sharing oxygen and beauty to brighten your day. Say your prayers and do your magic spells and just allow these feelings to reach crescendo and then RELEASE.

This is like blowing up your balloon nice and big and then, letting it go! That will burn through the squish while letting it serve you at the same time. Because otherwise? You’d probably get stuck crying it off and that’s no fun. This week’s forecast is literally chock full of indicators to look within, focus on yourself, and take charge of your own space on every level. So do that!

Monday, Blossom/Crown Chakra – Eight of Cups: Let it go to blossom AND to improve your spirit connection. Purge the old, be it physical, concrete items or emotional (and hence, energetic). Hint: the emotional and energetic release comes very swiftly from taking physical action, or purging physical items. Something my friend Aliza said recently about the Eight of Cups struck me. The usual rendition has someone walking away from upright cups and she reminded me, those cups remain intact even though you’re walking away from them. They are not spilled or destroyed. So here, the idea is that you need NOT continuing to worry about anything that’s not yours. Problems that aren’t yours? You can let it go. Confusion, ugliness, wrongness out in the wild? Let it go! YOUR EMOTIONAL NEEDS ARE JOB 1 this week. Other people’s needs/wants/issues are just that: other people’s.

[bctt tweet=”Healing the world starts at home/dixiblog/domains/afoolsjourney.com/public_html. #OnMyRadar ” username=”goddess_dix”]

Tuesday, Master/Third Eye Chakra – Six of Cups rx: I’m seeing this as hesitation to trust yourself, either in-general for decisions or especially, intuition. There’s worry over being naive and missing the obvious. Fear is very loud, energetically. It’s hard to hear through! It’s also concentrated and forms a barrier that keeps the good stuff (including intuition) out. So instead, quiet your mind. Ground and center. Ask for what you need to know to be shown to you. And then? Trust. Let it go. Relax. Nap, or walk or do something else. To master your ability to access Third Eye knowing, you’ll be looking for feeling nudges, what makes you feel good without the judgement or follow up questions as to whether or not that feeling “makes sense.”

Wednesday, Helpless & Hopeless – Ace of Cups: Very small feelings make very big ripples today. There’s an advantage to that fact though. Small feelings require smaller adjustments to make big changes. Discriminate over what feelings you “drink in.” Avoid negative people and unhappy litanies wherever you find them. My go-to emergency strategy for this kind of energy is a gratitude list. I know it sounds hokey but if you try it, you’ll see what I mean. Articulate what you’re grateful for and allow yourself to experience the flush that goes with feeling it, deep down. Best remedy for chasing away the hopelessness, right there!

Thursday, Heal – Two of Swords rx: You didn’t have choices always, about what pain has visited. But you can still heal it. Just understand it’s not a linear, thinky-thinky kind of process. The healing doesn’t lie in weighing out the impact of injury mentally. It lies in allowing yourself to grieve, the quiet time and space. It lies in treating yourself lovingly and kindly. It lies is seeking comfort and then accepting that comfort without argument. I’m seeing this like a long walk through flower-filled paths. There isn’t thinking, “Oh, I will enjoy these flowers now. The science behind their blooms is amazing and the scents stimulate my neurons to fire in a pleasing arrangement.” You just take it in and experience it, you know? The healing doesn’t have to be deconstructed. You just allow it in!

Friday, Just Breathe – Queen of Wands: Slow, deep and determined breathing will stabilize any difficulties and provide clarity and strength. The Queen of Wands is a very tough cookie and she’s on your side today! Passion, determination and incredible force of will are hence at your disposal. To access these gifts, stop, breathe and see that firely strength flowing right into your crown. Seriously!

Saturday, Release – Knight of Swords rx: Stop speculating over the whys and wherefores that have gone before. Does it really matter what someone’s motivation was when they stabbed you? And is that understanding worth reliving the stabs over and over? Purging, distraction, or replacement are the tactics I’d go for. Getting rid of physical items (or electronic communications, etc.) that trigger pain. Finding other ways to engage your mind and body that you like. Or if you’re having trouble breaking free, channel the energy into creative activity. It will help!

Sunday, Find Balance – Four of Cups: Today, use the power of your imagination to support you instead of sabotage. It’s un-worry time! Imagine how you might feel if your life is full and blessed and you’ve been gifted by the Universe with what you need to blossom and flourish. Imagine what the perfect balance of giving and recieving might feel like. Imagine bliss and joy filling your days and night. Daydream on that! This will ground and balance you.

Overview/Advice, Shine – The Empress rx: Don’t be the world’s Mama to shine this week. Don’t be cutting the meat on someone else’s plate to help chew on their lessons. Not your job right now. Take care of the self. Digest lessons for the self.

Affirmation, Solitude: “Be empty and still. Seek no company and find union with self. Observe your mental and emotional state. Right relationship with ourselves is necessary for a balance relationship with others. Solutions can be found in solitude. We are either alone or all one. Be quiet and your soul will sing.” I think I’m going to use the affirmation, “I’m at peace with myself.” But these thoughts are clearly echoing the rest of the forecast.

It’s retrograde season, astrologically. Bits and pieces of the past are coming into focus and they can pack some pretty hefty punches. We deal with them by taking a step back, out of the bustle and noise, and allowing the feelings to come. They’ll wash up, over you. You just let them. You feel your feelings! You accept them and offer a safe space, full of love, for the “you” that has felt these feelings and is looking to heal the hurts of the past. Hold no judgement, for self or other. Just feel them. This allows them to do their cleansing work. And quiet, downtime and solitude is the perfect environment for this to happen. We’re all going to be feeling the old feels for a while – but now? I want to HEAL the old feels!

Are you feeling the old feels?
