Edge of Something: Eclipse Week Tarot Forecast, Mar 21 – 27

Happy Eclipse.

HAHAHA!

Because, really. When is getting bowled over by the Universe feel “happy”?

But we’re talking Aries/Libra. In the realm of relationships, the me/we axis, man. It’s about the balance. It’s about FAIRNESS. It’s about justice and rightness. Keep yourself righteous, even when it’s hard, and you should come out okay. (Find some more lovely, general eclipse tips at the Astrology Zone.)

Personally, I’m doing alright. I will say that I’m finding myself suddenly revisiting some old situations, that have otherwise seemed to be set in stone. And it’s alright.

The vibe in general is like..the edge of something. Something important.

Lots of people, standing on the EDGE of something.

Even though it’s way not settled and even though I’m not sure how all will fall, I’m sporting an inexplicable faith all’s gonna turn out right in the end, just fine. Just the way it needs to.

I have no idea why I’m so convinced. But I’m not going to try to argue myself out of it.

I’m seeing this week as wildly fluctuating in terms of emotional tone, totally edgy. Sensitive. Raw and real. That’s not good, not bad. But be aware and build self-care into your plans. Other people are playing a prominent role here with several court cards, and we have a couple majors to emphasize the point–what happens will be around for some time to come. So make it count, folks.

Are you ready?!

Monday,  Flowering, Queen of Pentacles reversed: Coming into our own stride, but not quite there yet. It’s a process, yeah? A process. I expect to see results, although the project as such is still unfinished.

Tuesday, Breakthrough, Justice: It balances in the end. Sometimes, the process isn’t pretty but the end result is worth it. Expect “just rewards” to show up, whatever that may be.

[bctt tweet=”Getting what you deserve can be gift or curse. You get to pick.”]

Wednesday, Success, Six of Wands: A good day! Recognition for successful endeavors and leadership skills. This is a nice one for Eclipse day. Enjoy it!

Thursday, Compromise, Six of Pentacles: It needn’t be all for your desires, or all for your responsibilities. Break it up–time, energy, money. A little for work, a little for fun. A little for me, a little for thee. No winner-take-all here. Look for the win/win and you’ll achieve your ends.

Friday, The Creator, King of Wands reversed: Get in touch with your creative flow today. It mitigates stressors and helps you connect with yourself on a deeper level.

Saturday, Participation, Four of Wands reversed: Decide what you want your participation to be, and pull back from what doesn’t fit with your life, or anything you don’t feel good about.

Sunday, Thunderbolt, The Tower reversed: Some disruption is likely, but the end of the world, it’s not. Don’t mistake it for such. Back off anyone overblowing issues and overreacting, as that crap’s contagious. Deep breath and plan b, to the rescue.

Overview/Advice – Adventure, Page of Pentacles reversed: Don’t be afraid to try something new, but make your risks measured and gradual. Adventure is definitely calling. And it’s fine to answer. It’s great to answer! Just put on your walking boots and check your map, before you go out the door.

Affirmation – Sensitivity, Archangel Haniel: “You are extra-sensitive to energies and emotions right now. Honor yourself and your feelings.” Well, if that doesn’t describe an eclipse week, I don’t know what does! I can’t add much to that. Honoring yourself and your feelings? Always good advice.

How are you doing? Stay safe and sane out there! ♥

Slow Motion & Proofreading: Weekly Tarot Forecast, Mar 14 – 20, 2016

I have lots of Mercury & Saturn married up in my chart. I want to go FAST (Mercury) but I often have to work my way through slowly (Saturn) to do it right.

It’s like my life job involves lots of proofreading. Potentially frustrating, but far worse if you don’t do the work. And that is what we’re looking at, for the coming week.

We’re proofreading our lives.

IMG_5080

Overall, we have slower-than-we’d-like motion ahead. Many, many slow-moving cards. The Queen of Pentacles, The Devil, and the Five of Pentacles are not fast-paced. The Queen of Swords can be, but she can also make mistakes and rush to judgement. The Seven of Cups is confusion, mired–more slow energy. Even the lone, fast-paced Eight of Wands came in reversed, and not until the end of the week. Strength, the weekly advice, is another slow, gentle and steady energy.

[bctt tweet=”Forever is composed of nows. Emily Dickinson #quotes”]

Now, maybe this slower pace is a blessing for you, coming in after the stress of the Eclipse. Or maybe it’s a sheer frustration. But whatever it is for you personally, easiest to make peace with the rhythm of the Universe. You know?

Monday, Morality, Queen of Swords: Morality showcases a lack of flexibility. While this is a somewhat harsh rendition of the Queen of Swords, the point is valid: she can fall to the judgemental side and isn’t known for her compromising prowess. There are times, though, when inflexibility is appropriate. Be aware of the tendency to judge, or the potential for being judged. Be sure your own choices remain above reproach. And if you’re feeling critical of others, ask yourself, “Is this my circus? Are these my monkeys?” Because if not, move the Hell on.

Tuesday, Playfulness, Page of Wands: Laugher is massively healing. Fun is healing. Joyfulness is healing. Have yourself a healthy dose today.

Wednesday, Outsider, Five of Pentacles: This is one of “my cards” from this deck–a frequent visitor. That little guy on the outside looking in so aptly captures how I’ve felt in the world, much of my life. You cannot really tell from my picture here, but the lock on that heavy chain is not latched. And that is the key to understanding not only this version, but the Five of Pentacles energy in general. The feeling state here is changeable. There ARE choices, although you may not be considering them as options right now. So any lack, any alienation you’re feeling right about now, ask yourself what your choices are in the situation. You can access some interesting and useful insight, with that question.

Thursday, Projection, Seven of Cups: Whatever is driving you crazy, look in the mirror. Very good chance there’s a hidden sense of inadequacy or other raw spot, getting triggered. What you see–and lament–in others so often speaks to you.

Friday, Patience, Queen of Pentacles: We don’t need a whole lot of exposition here, huh? To everything, there is a season. Wait until it’s ripe, man.

Saturday, Conditioning, The Devil: What do you feel compelled to hide? This day seems to tease out something within that feels unacceptable. Be aware of compulsion and behavior undertaken without really thinking about it. Well, think about it!

Sunday, Traveling, Eight of Wands: Delays, snags and pauses. Sometimes it takes a little longer than you’d like. This isn’t a full stop. More like a, “just a minute, not quite done” vibe. Getting there, getting there.

Overview/Advice: Courage, Strength: Slow, gentle but steady stepping, reaching upward and outward is the way to go. This isn’t a “take off and soar” week. It’s a “plodding, put one foot in front of the other” week. While soaring is more fun, there’s a time for gradual and plodding, too. And there are advantages! Sure, it’s not as sexy. But progressing in bite-sized doses allows you to learn as you go. You can make (and correct) mistakes this way that would be much more painful on a large scale. I think of this kind of energy as life’s training sessions. We’re refining performance in anticipation of ramping up our game.

When you look at it like that, it doesn’t sound so bad, huh?

Affirmation – Comfort, Archangel Azrael: “I am with you in your time of need, helping your heart to heal.” Taking our time, one step at a time, and reviewing each bit is a way to heal. It releases the stress, and gives us space to emotionally digest. I’ll take it!

Letting Go of the Strings: Weekly Tarot Forecast, Mar 7 – 13, 2016

We say we trust the Universe. We say we have faith. We read the write books and burn the right candles and share the right inspirational memes.

And often, we set out our intentions aligned with that belief. But then, we don’t release those intentions go, out to do their work.

And how do you know, when you’ve failed to release your intentions?

The questions start in.

“When? HOW? This is impossible. It’s not gonna work. Hurry up, already! Hurry up! Because I am freaking out over here.”

This is a breakdown of faith. Instead of sending it out and letting it happen–knowing we are already supported and get what we need, even if it’s not always what we’d like–that anxiety is like a homing signal, calling back those intentions over and over again.

Setting intentions is like releasing a balloon. To have those intentions supported by Source energy, the balloon must travel up, above and beyond your sight. The magic happens beyond our human field of vision.

But when you attach strings to your intention balloons–the strings of how and when and all the particulars–what “must be” and how it must be in order for you to feel save? Well, that mucks up the fulfillment process. It keeps your balloon near the ground.

It may feel more comfortable to keep your balloon close, here you can check on it every thirty seconds. But I can absolutely promise you, those intentions will never take off as long as you’re fearfully clutching those strings. Faith is the secret ingredient to fulfilling your intentions. It’s required.

[bctt tweet=”Without faith, intentions are no more than worries.”]

IMG_5079

We’ve got an eclipse this week, folks. I’ve actually been feeling it for the last couple, coming in. I’ll let the actual astrologers write about the particulars. But just so you know, the energy out there is powerful, crackling and intense. And that’s neither a good or bad thing, by itself. It’s all in what you do with it. I’d suggest setting your intentions and letting go of the strings.

Monday, Integration, Temperance, reversed: You’re learning, but you don’t have it all figured out, all the way, quite yet. That’s fine! There’s nothing wrong with that. Just keep paying attention and using what you’ve learned thus far. That’s how you make it your own. Use practice to integrate new learning with your existing base of mastered skills. This is solidifying learning by doing.

Tuesday, Experiencing, Three of Wands: Note the progress you’ve made, and what direction it’s leading you. Take what you’ve started and continue to build. Be present.

Wednesday, Innocence, The Sun Reversed: You’ll notice undercurrents–and you may not entirely like those undercurrents. It is what it is, you know? People have mixed and complex motivations. That doesn’t mean someone is bad. Just human.

Thursday, Celebration, Three of Cups: Have a night out (or afternoon in) with dear friends. And for God’s sakes, confide in somebody, okay? Don’t keep all those thoughts in your head or the feelings trapped in your heart. Connection heals.

Friday, The Source, Ace of Wands reversed: I’m seeing this as a smidge of a wet blanket effect. Something (or someone?) raining a bit on the parade. Don’t let small distractions or minor complaints interfere with your enthusiasm. The complaints don’t amount to much. But the enthusiasm does.

Saturday, Mind,  Page of Swords: Ah, this day looks a little anxious. You’re most likely overthinking it, though. Remember that if you can think yourself into a tizzy, you can just as easily think yourself right out of it, too.

Sunday, Trust, Page of Cups reversed: Keep working on keeping that faith. It’s there, but sometimes we talk ourselves out of it. You do what makes sense in your heart and back it up with real-world rational, okay? That’s a solid combination.

Overview/Advice, Ripeness, Nine of Pentacles reversed: Lesson is in progress. Emphasis on the “progress” bit because, hey, we ARE progressing! In terms of advice, this is not the week to be jumping–the gun, to conclusions, or off the deep end! Set your intentions and let go of the string.

Affirmation – Peace, Archangel Chamuel: “Peace comes from remembering that only love is real.” I really do dig this thought even if I have trouble fully believing it sometimes. Putting it into perspective for me–when someone dislikes me, it doesn’t change who I am. It doesn’t make any vitriol aimed my way justified, warranted or somehow “right.” That negative energy isn’t real in the sense it doesn’t speak to me or who I am, any more than jealousy or resentment or any one of the myriad of projections we aim at each other on a daily basis. Such ugly baggage is the work of a limping ego, stabbing out at others to self-medicate fear and inadequacy. That’s not real.

But love? Love comes from recognizing the beauty and humanity in one another. Love is a process of recognizing the divine energy in the other. There’s nothing more real than that.

This week, strive for patience. Patience with yourself, as you learn and integrate under intense and dynamic energy patterns. Patience with others, as they sometimes stumble before they shine as they do the same. Acknowledge progress and look to connect on a heart level. This bolsters faith and allows those intentions to transform from worries to reality.

Except I still cannot promise you it will be on your schedule. Because I haven’t figured out how to get the Universe to do that yet.

Do you set intentions? Do you have some for the Eclipse?

Singing in Harmony (or Shutting Up) – Weekly Tarot Forecast, September 21-27, 2015

I hide a lot in my personal Facebook feed. A lot.

Not because I don’t have quality connections nor because there’s something “wrong” with the content people share. I hide a lot of content because a lot of the time, the content doesn’t vibe with me for one reason or another.

There’s emotional overload in general. I’m sensitive–the intense emotions that are often a part of these shared stories sticks to me. I’m quirky–so my perspective doesn’t fit well with much of what’s expressed. I pretty much have to be able to tolerate views apart from my own, because honestly? I’m unique, okay? But sometimes the assessments of those that disagree with posted material…well, it can really, really hurt. So I hide it and resolve to let it go.

For me, removing what’s prickly and painful is a way of being kind, both to myself and to others. Others don’t mean me harm. I do my best to “erase” what is not harmonious, while maintaining a generous attitude about folks whom I know have no intention to be hurtful.

This is my way of connecting to the harmonious and disregarding the discordant. And that’s what we’re looking at this week. Either sing in the same key, or quietly back away from the choir.

tarot forecast sept 21 2015

This week looks like it goes down a little smoother than last. You get no arguments from me, Universe! But even so, it’s active and shaking, with a mix of Tarot suits, a major Arcana card for Saturday (implying significant, long lasting impact) and a weekly overview card that just screams “up in the air.” For many–okay most of us–that waiting for the other shoe vibe is less than comfortable. But you know, it is what it is. We’re in between eclipses and Mercury has gone full on retrograde and, well, it’s transitional. You know?

Monday, Page of Wands: Stay task-oriented today and check off your to-do’s with intention. Okay…maybe even double-checking your to-do’s can be one of your to-do’s. Because Mercury, retrograde. You know the score. But even so, this looks like a great day to just get stuff done! Optimism is available if you just reach a little. I’ll take some extra, thank you! Moon in Sagittarius (most of the day).

Tuesday, Knight of Cups: A case of the feels creep up on you in your sleep? I’m seeing plenty of slosh today. Understand emotional flux is on the agenda. But also know the Knight’s brand of emotion tends to be overwhelming but not entrenched. In other words, it may not be that hard to change the FLAVOR of the emotion, even if you cannot change the level of the emotion.  That knowledge is like a blank check! A short time outside, three minutes with a favorite song, looking at some beautiful images, or mentally compiling a list of gratitudes regardless of how obscure or strange? That can easily shift the tenor of the feel-fest here. Utilize your conscious intention to direct the flow of emotion. Happy Fall Equinox/Mabon! Moon in Capricorn.

Wednesday, The Lovers: Look for the harmony and ride that wave. I’m not talking manufactured harmony. I’m talking making the choice–a keyword, for the Lover’s card–to align with what you see that harmonizes with your own energy. That means you don’t try to talk someone out of their beliefs or feelings. You merely connect with the ones that work for you and let the rest slide on by as if it didn’t happen. Direct your energy toward reinforcing what aligns with your soul, not fighting what does not. See the difference? Vote with your ATTENTION. Moon Void of Course in the AM, moving into Aquarius.

Thursday, Four of Swords: Exhale. Be sure to get enough sleep. Let go, detach and know it’s okay to not worry. Just be today. Just be. Moon in Aquarius.

Friday, Seven of Pentacles Reversed: Review of long-range hopes and plans. Some didn’t fly and the ones that didn’t, they seem loud today. Understood. But don’t just be sad or mad. Ask, “Why?” There is more magick in the failures than the successes here. Pluto goes direct. Moon in Pisces.

Saturday, Temperance: Integration of the insights cultivated throughout the week. Scheduling some quiet time or a meditation session is a great way to utilize this energy. Time in, around or on water also facilitates the process. Not convenient beyond a shower? Well, take the shower, sure, but also maybe watch a good movie. You can find messages for you there, all metaphorical like. Don’t question the magick. Prep for setting intentions for the Eclipse tomorrow. Moon in Pisces.

Sunday, Ace of Wands: It’s a day for deciding what you really want to do and getting started, even if it’s only the step of deciding. Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Aries, 4′ 40″ – Get your intentions on!

Overview/Advice, Eight of Wands: Feeling a little unsettled? Join the club–it’s a big room we’ve got going here. But you know, one thing I’ve learned very clearly and am repeatedly reminded of in this life: even when you think you know what’s ahead, you don’t. There is only now. So make the most of that now, every way you can. I’ve yet to hear anyone saying they have regretted being as fully present as possible in each moment. Yet how many of us make it our practice?

[bctt tweet=”Only the NOW is real. So live there. #quotes”]

Affirmation – Archangel Michael: “Remember who you are. You are a powerful, loving and creative child of God. You are very loved.” One of the best ways of staying true to yourself, living a life you can always be proud of and maintaining a sense of inner peace is remembering who you are. Any time you’re faced with a stressor or dilemma, ask yourself, “Who am I? Who do I choose to be, right now, today, this very moment?” Activate your heart energy, starting with yourself as always. Love is always right, always kind, always helpful no matter what the circumstances. Love always works.

It’s a week to look for the harmonies, and excuse yourself from all that doesn’t harmonize. Without trying to fix, without trying to change or cajole or be anybody else’s conscience. I don’t know about you but for me? Manning my own moral fortitude is plenty. I have the capacity to manage a conscience of one, thank you very much.

Are you finding harmony in your world?

Wear Gloves. Weekly Tarot Forecast, September 14 – 20

Thor Kitten is wondering, “How you doing with this eclipse stuff?” Because it’s edgy out there!

When I used to work in detox, my supervisor had a really simple rule: “If it’s wet and it’s not yours, don’t touch it. Wear gloves.”

While that approach would pretty much always serve you well, looking at the emotional tone of the coming week, that came to mind.

If it’s messy and it’s not yours, don’t touch it. Wear gloves – keep your distance and perspective. Clean that psychic grime off you and stay meticulous in your own habits. Because we’ve each got plenty to manage. No need catching something from somebody else!

tarot forecast sep 14 2015

I hate to say this, but it looks like a really uncomfortable week on a number of levels. Potential for freak-outs or breakdowns especially at the end of the week, although in light of the fact we just finished an eclipse, this would be expected. Lots of Swords and a hunk of Pentacles, with just one bit of detached Cup energy to end the week. So expect some conflict, confusion and practical matters going awry. But hey, we can do this! Let’s hit it day by day and see how to navigate, shall we?

Monday, Seven of Swords reversed: Delusion or denial surfaces – you start to get a sense of what’s been overlooked. Eh, it my book that’s a good thing but it can be kind of sucky at the time. Just allow it to surface and know, what needs to happen is happening.

Tuesday, Seven of Pentacles: A little planning here, a little planting there. Long range perspective is great but understand, things don’t always go as we hope. Just do the best you can with what you’ve got to work with. This is a “crossing things off your list” and appreciating what you’ve done so far day. Good, we can use that!

Wednesday, Page of Pentacles: Messages come through. Trust your ability to understand them, but double check details and keep your wits about you. Mercury is going retrograde (which you’ve probably already noticed –it’s been a hell of a shadow). There feels like a lot of between-the-lines hitting today. So note it but keep doing your job.

Thursday,  Strength reversed: Routine and consistency is in short supply. Frayed nerves. Make sure your own shelves are full of consistency, and order an extra side of patience because there may not be enough to go around. If it’s not yours, don’t touch it and make it yours. Keep on those gloves!

Friday, Ten of Swords: Whoa – who is unraveling at the seams here? Hope it’s not you! Overwhelm, potential overreactions and freak outs. Don’t let it get that far, okay? Not that you control everybody but you do control YOU. Hearken back to your routine, stay on task and keep a fresh pair of gloves handy.

Saturday, Four of Pentacles reversed: Work on eliminating unnecessary anxiety and eradicating worry with backup planning. This is partially a recovery from the energy of Friday. We’re looking to stabilize here. Stay on task for your issues and don’t be distracted by anybody else’s, okay?

Sunday, Eight of Cups: A day of release. Walk away from what does not matter and let it go. Some distraction might be nice today. Take good care of yourself.

Overview/Advice, Queen of Pentacles reversed: You cannot take care of everyone. Focus first and foremost, on taking care of yourself. Just like they tell you in those flight emergency talks, in case of emergency, you must put on your own mask first. There’s a potential for letting sleep, nutrition, or other self-care issues to slide this week and you need to be bringing your best game. So if in doubt, nap it out!

[bctt tweet=”If in doubt, nap it out. “]

Affirmation – Courage: Ariel – “Be courageous and stand up for your beliefs.” No matter who is dropping what bomb around you, there is always the choice to do what you believe to be right. Sometimes it’s easy and sometimes it’s harder, but it’s a really simple test. Act true to your beliefs. Then even if something doesn’t go as planned, you can feel okay about it. My personal rule of thumb is never to do something in private that I’d be uncomfortable about becoming public. That’s served me well. Stay focused on YOU this week, stay true to you, and you’ll be in the best position to weather the post-eclipse storm and get the healing you need to out of the whole shebang. Good luck!!

How you doing out there?!
