01/17/14: Heart-Centered / Knight of Cups

Knight CupsTo give our dailies a wallop of fresh energy, I decided to pair them with draws from the Deck of 1000 Spreads for several days as an experiment. I did not pre-select the positional definition cards, always preferring to trust I’ll get what I need. I always seem to.

The Knight of Cups rode in to save the day, pointing the way towards “Success.”

Tune in to heart energy, and live directly from your heart energy to succeed in your endeavors. I’d even go so far as to say that remaining fully in touch with your feelings could be one definition of success here.

Especially when we’re hurt, it’s easy to start shutting down the heart channel to limit pain. It seems better not to feel at all than to feel so much hurt. And we do have to shut down stimuli at times to keep from getting overwhelmed. But we don’t want that channel closed for long.

Act from a loving, compassionate place as much as possible, even if—or especially if—you have to handle a hard, hurtful, or otherwise delicate situation. You can set boundaries, make demands, or cut off abusive relationships from this place as well as offering hugs and kisses. It’s harder, but by the time you’re done, you’ll have no question your best.

The idea is that no matter what you feel the need to do or say, you don’t lose touch with your heart.

Do you have trouble staying in a heart-centered place under fire?

Tarot Weekly, Jan. 13: No Coddle Mirror

I missed doing a weekly last week, so I hopped on the webcam for a quickie!

Short version: Mind your own manners this week, not everybody else’s! I’m suspecting a tendency to essentially go “Oh, s/he’s worse” or citing “I can’t help it” rather than facing compulsive or otherwise…eh, questionable behavior. Awareness of problematic patterns is a gift, but utterly wasted if you refuse to open the box.

Are you becoming aware of problematic behaviors of your own?

p.s. I have my own laundry list, so don’t think for a minute I’m judging you! I just suspect there will be an opportunity crop up sometime in the next week to cross something off that list.
