Tangled Yarn – Tarot Forecast, Apr 18 – 24

My radar has been dinging off the hook lately. Overdrive! There is a lot of stress and angst out in the wild right now. I know, because I’m feeling it. I’m talking to people who are feeling it.

Folks are overwhelmed, scared, mad and otherwise wound the Hell up. Bombshells are dropping left and right, and many folks are not at all sure what steps to take next. It feels like things have been going SO FAST and there is a sense in the collective of just being rattled at a little shell shocked.

Lots of lives have lots of tangles right now.

Well, if this is you, pay heed. My astrologer friends have been talking about retrograde season coming into swing. And while I am often frustrated by the slow-downs and delays and otherwise frustrating aspects of retrogrades, right now? Not so much.

There are a lot of knots to untangle in the yarn of life and the only way to do it is to slow down, go back and review. It will all get sorted but one tiny section at a time.

This energy is coming into swing now, so you may have already felt the slow down. If you haven’t yet, heads up.

Tarot Forecast Apr 18 - 24 2016

The tone overall next week is emotional, with physical, real-world implications of how you express that emotion built in. If you’re feeling stressed, lean into self care. It helps. Understand that knots may take time to untangle and the Universal energy flow will be supporting this activity now. So don’t freak out about the size of your tangles, just pick up an end and start the process.

Monday, Sacrifice – King of Pentacles: Be willing to spend on what (or who) matters to you. Think in terms of investment, not necessarily expenditure. And by “spend,” we could be talking cash, sure. But we could also be talking time, attention, patience, what have you. Many times, we put a LOT of energy in what we don’t want: worry, fear, obsessions, anger, angst, what have you. That leaves us in a survival-we-hope mindset and emotional state. And it sucks! In all of that, you’re intensifying your experience of what you don’t want. You’re investing your life force in it. Why? When clean up is required (and it probably will be this week), focus on WHERE YOU’RE GOING with it! A lot of the same action. But much, much different vibe during the execution. Look forward, eyes fixed on where you want to be.

Invest in getting what you want, not avoiding what you don't. #OnMyRadar Click To Tweet

Tuesday, Material Harvest – Ace of Pentacles: Another nudge to invest. I’d specifically look at investments that are supportive of making money, now or later, or that support you physically. We’re in the realm of real-world today, tangible and physical. Good potential for what’s started now to pay off well coming up.

Wednesday, Spiritual Union – Knight of Cups Rx: Oh all the feelings! Back and forth, to and fro. This speaks moodiness in personal relationships. Not necessarily bad moods, though. So if you like the mood, great! Enjoy it. Appreciate it in the moment it’s there. But if you don’t like it, don’t stress. It’s likely to be short lived. Ride the waves like a surfer dude (or dudette). Self-care for the win.

Thursday, Firm Foundation – Seven of Cups: Potential to identify entrenched false assumptions. Question what you assume here and look for supporting evidence of what you feel you “know” because there may be some misunderstood or misrepresented conclusions in the mix. Base your actions on what you KNOW, not what you assume or suspect and you’ll be good.

Friday, Rejoice in Celebration  – Ace of Swords Rx: Look for opportunity to get out of your head and not overthink things today.  Have a little (distracting) fun with friends! Full Moon in Scorpio – great for massive, deep release.

Saturday, Harmony – Seven of Wands Rx: It’s a get-along day. Definitely a time to reserve energy and choose battles wisely. Sure, you can go against the crowd, but only do so with a POINT. Because not everybody needs to be you or see the world as you see it. That doesn’t matter. If it’s not so important? Eh. Get over it (and yourself) and save the fights for stuff that matters.

Sunday, Emotional Loss – Eight of Cups Rx: There is a hint of a sting here–sorry!–which looks to be from old business, something you did not completely release yet emotionally. What you thought you were over but you’re not quite may come to visit.  This doesn’t strike me as super-intense. The trick here is allowing yourself to feel whatever it is with acceptance. Let it come to you, feel it and let it wash away. Feel and release. And afterwards? Baths or showers help a lot to wash it right off…

Overview/Advice, Material & Spiritual Prosperity – Four of Cups Rx: Be ready to bump yourself out of a rut and try something new. At the same time, realize general discontent isn’t great for prosperity (in any sense of the word “prosperity”). Instead, take discomfort as a helpful nudge to make changes. Appreciating what you’ve got and building on gratitude IS great for prosperity, however.  So bear this in mind, throughout the week and every time you can, look to reorient your outlook to one of appreciation. It will both improve your results and lighten the burden at the same time. Win/win, friends.

Affirmation: Lilac – Strengthen your Faith. Fear closes down our vibration and locks us up tight. Faith and courage opens up our energy and makes us more magnetic. Also? Lilac is a lovely color (and smell). It’s also a great plant for protection and romance. Strengthen your faith this week–start by reflecting on all the times faith and love have come through for you. Hand your worries over to your spirits and let them sort it out. It’s a very, very freeing experience.

Are you feeling tangled? How do you manage it?

Colored Glasses – Tarot Flow Forecast, Apr 4 – 10, 2016

lucille-ball-loveyourselffirst

You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. – Lucille Ball

You cannot give someone else what you do not have for yourself.  If you assume the worst of yourself, you’ll do the same of others, without even trying. You cannot IMAGINE they would want to be around you, despicable disaster that you consider yourself, so any lapse in connection has to be a rejection.

Not-so-nifty trick.

In fact, your experience is much more about how you feel about yourself than who anybody else is. Like when you accept the unacceptable in your relationships, in your job, in your life? While everyone is responsible for their own behavior, the acceptance bit is on you. Yes, we all have transitional times and I’m not judging you for them. But once you wake up? Realize what you’re doing. Don’t accept and internalize poison. Because it cripples you, emotionally.

To be able to give patience, kindness and faith TO others, you have to have accessh. Access is granted and grows, by cultivating those qualities in your own life, first in your relationship with yourself. You cannot give what you don’t have in abundance.

Whatever you want to share, you must first give to yourself. Click To Tweet

Tarot Forecast Apr 4 - 10 2016

Looking over the weekly flow of this forecast, I think of that old story of the blind men and the elephant. You know, where each of the blind men feels a different part of the elephant and thinks it’s something different? That one.

What you see is largely what you think you see. So decide going in, what you want your experience to be like and tailor your thinking to fit into that framing as much as possible. It’s like cleaning your glasses instead of leaving the (emotional) smudges on there, marring your perspective indefinitely. You decide, what color glasses you’re putting on this week.

Monday, Sacrifice – Three of Wands Rx: This is not going according to plan. Let go and let it happen according to…I dunno. Reality?

Tuesday, Material Harvest – Knight of Swords Rx: Lighten up on the worries and double down on the gratitude. It both feels better and will get you much, much further.

Wednesday, Accelerated Motion – Four of Swords: Don’t freak about the rate of change. Shifting is well (and perhaps suddenly) underway. There’s nothing more to do at present. So relax and let it happen.

Thursday, Transformation – The Fool Rx: The phrase that comes to mind here is, “You won’t make that mistake again.” Fair enough. Mildly ominous, but fair enough. Advice-wise, don’t keep doing what’s not working, dude. I’m hearing The Who in my head.

Friday, Suffering in Silence – Three of Pentacles: You may not see how it all fits together YET but I’m telling you, hardships endured are not without purpose. Even if you have to carve out that purpose yourself. Get what you can from it.

Saturday, Heart Chakra – Four of Cups: Potential to over-romanticize what you don’t have, either from past or future. Look to shift into the now, to whatever extent you can muster.

Sunday, Memories of Love – Hermit Rx: We are not who we are in isolation, or due a singular influence. Connect to those who have made a difference, either directly or energetically. Cut out those who hurt. Be discriminating on whom you connect with.

Overview/Advice, Discontent & Boredom Knight of Pentacles: Beware picking apart what’s basically good due to small (and irrelevant) details. Prioritize and weight your energy expenditures accordingly.

Affirmation: Change its name. Words matter. Listen to your words and wherever there is a topic you’d like to change, think of changing how you express it to better reflect your desired reality. Is it tossing a coat of paint on top of pain? Well, give it a go and see. Because I’d argue, you may want to change your glasses up.

How’s your vision looking lately?

Calculated Risks: Weekly Tarot Forecast, Dec 28 – Jan 3

I remember the first professional Tarot reading I did. I was SO terrified! I’d read plenty for friends and family, and later friends and family of friends and family. But with that audience, they are likely to be kind. There is some kind of personal connection. They want to support you, and let’s not forget–you’re doing them a favor if you’re reading gratis. You’re getting practice and they’re getting insight, so it’s mutually agreeable  exchange and they’ll likely be forgiving of any missteps.

But having somebody I didn’t know PAY for my reading was a huge stretch.

I was going to make a go if it through EBay; at the time, you could list Tarot readings there. I charged $15 for a full Celtic Cross. And I wanted backup reassurance, so I got her birthday. After I finished the reading, I ran it through my astrology software, just to make sure what it said was consistent with what I saw. I didn’t include astrological reports with the reading. It was just for personal reassurance. And yes, my reading was on target.

Geez, that lady got a Hell of a deal!

That first reading I did was very much a calculated risk. As terrifying as it was to put myself out there and read for strangers (for actual money!) I knew I could give a good reading. I would never have considered putting myself in that position if not. What I learned in the process was that it’s usually easier to read for strangers because all that stuff you “know” about your loved ones is less likely to get in the way. Still, it was terrifying and hard. And even today, there’s that twinge of anxiety before I start, when I just hand things over to spirit and ask for what’s needed. Even now, it’s easier but still, not easy.

But had I not taken a chance that day, terror and all, you wouldn’t be reading this.

Weekly Tarot Forecast December 28, 2015

Looking over this forecast as a whole, there’s plenty of opportunity for measured risk-taking. We do have several Major Arcana showing up–it’s important stuff we’re dealing with–and a noticeable emphasis on the Water Element with the number of cups appearing. Emotional impact is “a thing.” Themes of balance amidst losses, release and (measured) risk-taking tie this week together with a bow…or maybe it’s a knot.

Monday, Sadness and Isolation – Seven of Swords: What a way to start the week…the image on this card is interesting, though, in that it looks to be prescriptive. Come clean. Emerge from your hiding place, and show yourself, you know? The antidote to isolation is built in–come on out!

Tuesday, Flow – The Wheel: Looking at today, that Kenny Rogers song is going through my brain, The Gambler. “You’ve got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em. Know when to walk away. Know when to run.” Pay attention and go with the flow today. Flexibility allows you to ride the tides as they shift.

Wednesday, Opportunity Beckons/Base Chakra – Four of Cups: With the Base Chakra card showing up, we’re talking issues of security and safety, basic needs. Opportunity is beckoning in the form of how those needs get met. You could make a move today–a calculated risk–which increases your sense of security significantly.

Thursday, Spread Your Winds – Two of Wands: Continue to act on those calculated risk.  Risk your ego. Risk your image. Risk stretching outside your established comfort zone. Say what’s on your mind or in your heart. Be honest. Be true to yourself. Sometimes, that’s very hard. But payoffs are often in proportion to the reach, y’know?

Friday, Moving On – Eight of Cups: [recent repeat] Let it go, let it go, let it go! What do you want to walk away from?

Saturday, Rebuild – Tower: [recent repeat] Oy, this is a pretty watered-down Tower representation. Ah well. Oracle Tarot decks, whaddya gonna do? The pattern on her gown makes me think of a house of cards. When you see the Tower, there IS a house of cards has fallen or is about to fall. Whatever does fall, however, was a house of cards. Remember that part. Kind of the point of the Tower, you know? So yes, take stock and rebuild. And understand, houses of cards will always fall. Knowing the difference between the card houses and those made of stronger construction methods will serve. Just keep going, okay? Keep on going.

Sunday, Change Your Focus & Detach – Five of Cups and Justice: These two came out together. Solid follow up to the Tower. It looks very much like grieving–or to be more precise, trying to rebound from grief, at least enough to regain equilibrium. The detachment of Justice isn’t about not caring. It’s about balance. Release through tears, and seek equilibrium.

Overview/Advice, Nurture/Heart Chakra – The Empress: Love yourself. Love others. Care for animals and children and plants…loving is such a very important activity, sharing love. It heals both the giver and recipient. It helps you through the toughest of times, and makes the brightest of times shine brighter. There is no end to the good love can do.

Don't just guard your heart. Make it stronger via exercise! #quotes Click To Tweet

Affirmation: I am selfish enough to want to feel good. There is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. I harp on that point quite a bit, actually. I see self-care as a sacred responsibility. It’s your job to look after yourself, damn it! Don’t push it off on others. “Selfish” is treated like a dirty word, and if you mean caring only for oneself and nobody else, then okay. That’s ugly.

But if you mean protecting your mind, your body, your spirit, healing and nurturing it…well, that’s important. Without that, you’re not much good to anyone else. It’s a waste of the gifts, the energy and resources you have to give. And joy in your own life, doing what you can to feel good, not only impacts you and the people nearby. It impacts every one you come in contact with, directly or indirectly. You are lighting a match, adding the the illumination of all…

Are you comfortable taking calculated risks?

Steady at the Wheel: Weekly Tarot Forecast, November 23 – 29, 2015

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” – Matthew 7:3, King James Bible

This week’s forecast made me think of this video, a chapter from my book on the Ace of Cups. We’d do well to manage our own thoughts and feelings more and worry less about everyone else’s. Keep your eyes on your own road and your hand on the wheel steady, and you’ll do great!

20151121_165654_HDR

In general, the week does have some punch. Of eight cards drawn, five are Major Arcana which speak to significant transitions. Two of the remaining three are Cups (Water element), suggesting emotion is a prominent factor throughout the week. I have a feeling that feelings will be turned up in general, but Saturday is the only day that looks super dicey in that regard. With the Emperor as the guidance guy, we definitely have the resources for managing so long as we manage ourselves first.

For my folks in the states, Thanksgiving looks great!

Monday, Opportunity Beckons – Four of Cups: This is a nice counter to the interpretation of the Four of Cups as discontent or lack of appreciation. Being grateful for what you have is awesome! Good plan. But living in that state doesn’t preclude reaching for more. Stretching out, or even wanting does not equate with a lack of appreciation. Gratitude and growth are very harmonious energies.

Tuesday, Teach – The Hierophant: Speak your truth, even in the small things. No, not everyone will hear it but those inclined will. The right people will hear. And those who don’t? They aren’t your audience anyway.

Wednesday, Spread Your Wings – Two of Wands: Take a risk! Stretch a little more. Investigate, imagine, and what’s more, take a concrete step along the path to where you want to go. This is very much one step forward without worrying about how the other million steps will go. Just ONE.  Step outside your comfort zone, do something new or different, create a new tradition or set a new standard.

Take 1 step forward & have faith the rest of the path will appear. Click To Tweet

Thursday, Love Abounds – Ace of Cups: Delightful Thanksgiving card! I find my heart, though, drifting off to those suffering because of who is missing from their table. Fill in the empty space with love and gratitude for all the blessings you have now and have received from missing loved ones. After all, to miss intensely suggests you’ve been given much. And that is worthy of honoring. Make today a celebration of that love in any form you can conjure it, and you cannot go far wrong.

Friday, Manifest – The Magician: You, do. You, do. You are in control. This day is what you make it. Good day for magick, too!

Saturday, Rebuild – The Tower: Well, if that isn’t the softest version of the Tower I’ve ever seen, I don’t know what is! I’ll follow this deck’s lead though: treat yourself, others, and everyone else gently but honestly. Many are in difficult transitions at the moment, and there is much pain and disruption in the world. It’s not a day for saying, “I told you so.” It’s a day for saying, “How can I help?” And mean it.

Sunday, Love – The Lovers: Look for the areas of agreement, the harmony and the beauty today. Music is a great choice to enhance the day, so long as your choice is soothing and melodious. The voice, in particular, holds special sway. Make your words kind and beautiful and that will enhance your experiences of kindness and beauty. You draw what you put out.

Overview/Advice, Lead – The Emperor: There is only one reason the Emperor is able to maintain his seat on the throne. He controls himself! The overall vibe of this week is very DIY. You get what you put out there. Your days are as lovely or ugly as you make them.

Affirmation: My thoughts are in harmony with my health. I’m not going all pseudo-Law-of -Attraction-victim-blaming here. But I will say regardless of your physical state, the more harmonious, grateful and positive your mental state, the better your health will be. The more angry, depressed, or generally dark your thoughts, the greater the toll on your health. No, being all roses and sunshine does NOT fix everything, health or otherwise. But you know what? If you can come up with a couple of roses and a little sun breaking through the clouds, it does make it better. It does help! And this counts for health on every level, not just physical.

Are you feeling in control of yourself?

It’s What you See – Weekly Tarot Forecast, Nov 2 – 8, 2015

I was uncharacteristically fussy last week. Whiney even.

Of course, I’m as human as anybody else and I can get stressed and fret. There’s nothing wrong with having those feelings. But I wasn’t shedding them as quickly and efficiently as I normally do. I was not letting go–massaging them and looking at them from every angle and in general, just working them way too much.

Even I was getting tired of listening to me!

Towards the end of the week, I decided to shift my focus. Enough already! The next day, the Universe tested me with a couple of vandalized tires crapping out on the way to a Tarot gig. I had even gotten up on time, damn it!

I am proud to say I overcame the fussy and was able to go on to give some awesome readings the rest of the day.

It wasn’t just what happened to me. It was how I was thinking about it. This week? A lot like that.

weekly tarot forecast

Looking over the forecast as a whole, there’s unquestionably an edge to the coming week. There is a sense of tiredness here, and I expect some emotionally sticky moments without a doubt. I am thinking Wednesday will be the most challenging although throughout the week, it’s going to be vital to keep a tight grip on your perspective.

In particular, don’t focus exclusively on what you feel is lacking. That’s a prescription of a sour mood if I ever saw one. Keep coming back to that thought this week, every time you feel frustrated. Ask yourself: Am I focusing on the lack? What do I still have? What can I be grateful for instead?

See if you can shift your focus to blessings, to plans, to what you CAN do, what you DO have. If you take nothing else from this forecast, keep that thought in mind and it should carry you through!

Monday, What to Let Go of in the Future – Emperor Reversed: That drive for control? Micromanaging–or rather, trying really hard to micromanage others via stunning wit or even your life via perfect planning? Totally not working. And you know it. If anything, it’s turning your hair gray and making you crankier than an old lady who hasn’t had her coffee. Let it go, Grasshopper. Let it go. Control is mostly illusion anyway.

Tuesday, What to Take From the Past – Ace of Swords: Clarity, clean and sharp focus. I’m thinking of the 18-year-old about to graduate high school, full dreams and certainty. I mean, you sort of want to laugh in that fresh little face–so cute, all that certainty! (But you don’t laugh, because it’s mean.) The cluelessness, sure, we don’t need that. But that energy young people so often have, with such a singleness of focus, the drive and even to some extent even the idealism where things are so pure and simple? We could stand a little bit of that, even a long way south of 18.

Wednesday, Crossing – Death: It’s not an easy time. That’s all. Big transitional energy that’s heavy and hard sometimes. That’s what’s weighing many people down. Understand it doesn’t last forever and be kind to your fellow humans because even if you’re not weighted, they might well be. Great day to purge anything symbolic of what you’d like O-U-T-out of your life! Scrape up the gook and dispose of it.

Thursday, Heart of the Situation – Ace of Cups Reversed: All things appearing as bigger than they are due to emotional drain. Like those funhouse mirrors? Take some downtime if you can. Dream a little. Be kind to you.

Friday, Surprise – Page of Pentacles Reversed: Details are less important than they may have initially appeared. Early day off work? Do be sure and track expenses, though, as we don’t want today’s surprise to be coming up short on cash. Okay?

Saturday, Mind – Eight of Wands: I don’t know! Not me, as in Dixie doesn’t know. That’s what this card says, in the position of mind. It’s a mind not yet made up.

Sunday, Romance – Five of Pentacles: There’s love available for you but you may not be feeling. If you need a hug, you will have to ask for it directly. Love and mind-reading are two different things. Make your desires explicit.

Overview/Advice, Underlying Influences – Four of Cups: This is a week pitting experiences against expectations. It’s a little harder because it looks to be challenging to judge at points what is reality versus what is interpretation. I want to fall back on some of my old standbys: don’t date potential. Don’t expect other people to be you. Give yourself space to think, to grieve, to get quiet, and to know your own mind. Let emotions flow, to you and through you. If in doubt, nap it out.

Affirmation: When I reverse the thought, I reverse the condition. That sounds like a load of Law of Attraction crap, doesn’t it? Ha! Well, this is from the Abraham-Hicks deck but y’all know me. I have mixed feelings about the Law of Attraction as is generally postulated in popular culture. However…your experience IS highly dependent upon your interpretation of it. Let’s say your car breaks down. Okay, that’s no fun. But whether it’s a world-ending tragedy or a minor blip in your life depends very largely upon how you think about it. So while changing your thoughts will not pay the car repair bill, they can move you from a place of victimhood to gratitude, that these are the kind of problems you have: solvable.

In every bitter pill, there is some blessing. I’m not saying ignore the hurts and struggles. I’m saying don’t put them in the center of your life. Ground yourself in blessings and love, and let the struggles be but a small part of the overall picture. Okay? It’s all about the perpsective!

Are you in a transition?

Being You: Tarot Forecast, August 24 – 30, 2015

I am very, very blessed to be around people who love and accept me as I am. Of course, that didn’t happen in a vacuum. I had to actually BE who I am, not hide it, in order to find it. And it didn’t happen overnight. It took me a long time, even to work up the courage to admit to me who I was in many regards. Recognizing what’s you and what’s not, finding those bits and pieces of your soul that you’ve maybe lost track of? That’s on my radar at the moment and it’s in this week’s forecast, too.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. –Ralph Waldo Emerson

All journeys are ultimately personal ones. We may walk hand in hand with another. We may have friends and companions, cheering us on (or not so much, unfortunately). But we each own our own life, and all paths are singular in that regard.

August 24 - 30 Forecast

This week features all the Tarot suits, so we’re running the gamut of energy flavors–but the cards are all Minor Arcana. That suggests to me that any challenges we face are more likely to be of the day-to-day variety than the life-changing-forever variety. So if you’re having a rough go, you may want to give it the 5-year test: “How much will this moment matter in five years?” Follow that up with, “What’s truest to myself?” Keep it in perspective.

Monday, Emotional Loss – Turning In, Four of Cups: Today has “bittersweet” written all over it. I’m getting a very melancholy, moody sensation around the day. Take a few minutes to tune inward, and just let whatever feelings are there, be there. Don’t grasp or push. Just let them be present,, feel them and allow them wash through you. Some challenges are not mastered through fighting–but through yielding. Turn up the Yin.

Tuesday, Harmony (Base and Throat Chakras) – The Outsider, Five of Pentacles reversed: Unpopular opinion? Out of step with those around you and feeling insecure over it? That’s what we’ve got, although with the card reversed, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you’re not as far removed from your community as it may appear. Be secure in speaking your truth you’re likely find others thinking the same thing. They just weren’t brave enough to say so.

Wednesday, The Waiting Game – Fighting, Knight of Swords: Potential for conflicts born out of impatience and anxiety. Thoughts and mental activities drive the conflict so if you’d like to reduce the ouch factor, look for a perspective shift. Expect to be subject to impatience and some critical remarks that are SO not about you. (After all, if they were really about you, could you have read about them in a Tarot forecast?!)

Thursday, New Beginnings – Guidance, Three of Pentacles: Ah, this is a delight to see! Creative flow is on tap, along with a healthy stream of Divine inspiration. You know the drill: meditation, quiet time in nature and prayer are ways to access that stream of awesome. Look for this energy plug-in for an infusion of brilliance wherever you are seeking a fresh start. Go get you some!

Friday, Love Begins – Understanding, Page of Cups: In dealings with loved ones and inner circle, focus on your love first. As in, before you try to figure something out, before you try to work out any conflict, focus on the love. Great night for a date, if you’re into that sort of thing. Also good money day potential.

Saturday, Stand Your Ground – Success, Six of Wands: Pretty clear, no? Stick to your guns and so long as your cause is righteous, the outcome is good. Woot!

Sunday, Conflict and Defeat – Moment to Moment, Two of Pentacles: You win some, you lose some. Be gracious whichever side of the equation you are on and deal with just right now, what’s on your plate to be addressed at the moment. Generosity is in order.

Overview/Advice, Victory & Success – Experiencing, Three of Wands reversed: Yes, I know. This week (or this life?) hasn’t gone as planned. But you wanna make something good out of it anyway? BE PRESENT. Be there, completely. Don’t zone out of full consciousness when it’s hard or the lessons tastes a little bitter or life gets a little heavy. Stay present. This is how you “win” at life. And here? Winning means getting as much out of it as you can. Don’t wait until something big forces perspective on you. Foster perspective now by staying present.

Affirmation: I trust my inner wisdom. Part of being present is attending to those little feelings, that quiet little voice inside us. Here’s a note: the more you attend to it, the louder it gets. It takes some dedication to be able to tell the difference between inner wisdom and plain ol’ mind. But there are ways to distinguish. The first way is working on quieting mind. Mind never shuts up–or at least, mine doesn’t like to shut up. The second way is feeling checks–inner wisdom often gives you a “click” or “that’s true” feeling, inside. A mini aha moment, a knowing.

Inner wisdom gives a click or 'aha' feeling, like fitting a piece into a puzzle. #woowoo Click To Tweet
