Playing that Hand: Weekly Tarot Forecast, Oct 12 – 18

For whatever cosmic purpose, I’ve been rubbing elbows with a whole lot of grief over the last few months. It started with someone in my circle who lost her son way too soon, and branched outward from there. We’ve more than tripped my 3-times rule, so it’s definitely on my radar.

I’ve noticed–it’s not how people handle the good stuff that speaks to their character nearly as much as how they handle pain.

That kind of pain can cause people to shut down, close off their energy and go underground. And I’m not criticizing. You do what you can do, dealing with pain. I don’t judge on tiny little bit.

But other times? I’ve seen people use that experience to say, “What is really important? Who do I want to be? How can I live better?”

It’s like they have harnessed the power of that intense pain energy and used it to open up the heart, you know? And that is both bittersweet and beautiful.

I know what I aspire to. Just hope that I–and most of you–have little need, anytime soon.

You play the cards you were dealt. And that’s what this week’s forecast is about.

IMG_4498

Lots of Major Arcana on deck – Three in the daily draws and one for the overview. The week has import. A couple of Cups, one from the Swords, and a late appearance from the Pentacles makes up the week. We start with looking for our hope (0r adjusting the story as required), move on to managing our emotions, and finish out the week rethinking what really makes us happy and what our hearts say. The week ends with reassessing–what’s in our heads, and what works or does not, on a practical level.

Monday, Joy & Stability, Star Reversed: A little difficult accessing optimism for the future? I hear ya. It’s not gone altogether here, but hard to fully believe sometimes. Be right here, right now. Appreciate the fact you have what you need TODAY, right this very minute. That’s so much more than so many have! Ground and appreciate whatever you’ve got. That’s how you turn it up.

[bctt tweet=”Appreciate having what you need TODAY, right this very minute. #gratitude”]

Tuesday, Take the Lead, Ten of Cups reversed: You cannot make everybody happy, but you can act from a loving place, you know? One thing we tried to teach our kids was that each person is responsible for their own feelings–while you are responsible for your intentions at the same time. People sometimes try to offload their own end of the equation but you gotta own your own self and nothing else. Compromise may be necessary; approach negotiations in good faith. Look for win/win.

Wednesday, Success & Growth, Knight of Cups reversed: Keep your emotions in check and centered. This may include a time-out and frequent grounding to do, but it’s well worth the effort. Distinguishing between emotional flux and actual circumstances pays dividends.

Thursday, Sacral Chakra, Five of Swords reversed: Discord stresses you out? I’m as conflict avoidant as the next gal, so I get it! But there is a call to make your “no” stick, if it was important enough to declare in the first place. I guess the secret is being picking only the battles that really matter. Focus on stabilizing and enhancing your own emotional state and you can also work out some of the stress via creative means. Anything you can cook up to be symbolic or metaphorical of what you’d like to see and execute in real life, setting your intention to use the energy that way, is a great way to do this. For example, if you wanted to reach an agreement with someone, you could write both your names on a piece of paper, and put it in a book with the channeled intention infused into that paper that you are “on the same page.” Just use your imagination, okay?

Friday, Heart Chakra, High Priestess: Ah! I like this one. Listen to your heart, tune in especially to your emotional state for inside (psychic) information. One easy way to do this is to get quiet for a minute and notice the area in the middle of your chest–imagine mentally reaching out an invisible, energetic stream from that area to “take the feeling temperature” of the energy around you. What does it feel like?

Saturday, Solar Plexus, Moon rev: Anxiety, overblown worries. Center, breathe and operate from a rational base. Don’t make long-term decisions on the spur of the moment. Worries can be abated through sleep. So go ahead–leave your worries with your spirits and angels, and then take a nap!

Sunday, Dedicated Effort, Eight of Pentacles reversed: Consider ways your work routine may have gotten sidetracked. Projects can be employment-related or even personal development issues; we’re just talking long-range accomplishments. What habits would you like to build? What routines can you put in place to support your desired, long-term goals? Planning, list-making and strategizing are favored. You may not act today, but you can prepare.

Advice/Overview: Dreams Coming True, Justice: Ever write something and fall in love with a specific sentence or two? That’s why editors rock, man. Because that turn of phrase that just impresses the heck out of you may be exactly what needs to go to achieve your ultimate objective. This week is like that. Don’t let your ego run the show. It’s gotta stay about your objective. Expect to pay attention to staying balanced, reasonable and fair. Step back, take breathers if you need to. Look to isolate the emotional component of struggles and pretend you’re thinking about someone else if that’s helpful. Logic, reason, and pro-and-con kind of detachment will serve here. In other words, don’t become married to your approach or it may stand in your way. Because I want to see you achieving your dreams!

Affirmation: I will do my best to make the best of it. We’ve got what we got. Rather than bemoan what we don’t have, let’s do what we can to make the absolute most of what we do. Fair enough?

As I read this forecast, I know there is plenty I need to attend to here, myself. Okay. There usually is.

Singing in Harmony (or Shutting Up) – Weekly Tarot Forecast, September 21-27, 2015

I hide a lot in my personal Facebook feed. A lot.

Not because I don’t have quality connections nor because there’s something “wrong” with the content people share. I hide a lot of content because a lot of the time, the content doesn’t vibe with me for one reason or another.

There’s emotional overload in general. I’m sensitive–the intense emotions that are often a part of these shared stories sticks to me. I’m quirky–so my perspective doesn’t fit well with much of what’s expressed. I pretty much have to be able to tolerate views apart from my own, because honestly? I’m unique, okay? But sometimes the assessments of those that disagree with posted material…well, it can really, really hurt. So I hide it and resolve to let it go.

For me, removing what’s prickly and painful is a way of being kind, both to myself and to others. Others don’t mean me harm. I do my best to “erase” what is not harmonious, while maintaining a generous attitude about folks whom I know have no intention to be hurtful.

This is my way of connecting to the harmonious and disregarding the discordant. And that’s what we’re looking at this week. Either sing in the same key, or quietly back away from the choir.

tarot forecast sept 21 2015

This week looks like it goes down a little smoother than last. You get no arguments from me, Universe! But even so, it’s active and shaking, with a mix of Tarot suits, a major Arcana card for Saturday (implying significant, long lasting impact) and a weekly overview card that just screams “up in the air.” For many–okay most of us–that waiting for the other shoe vibe is less than comfortable. But you know, it is what it is. We’re in between eclipses and Mercury has gone full on retrograde and, well, it’s transitional. You know?

Monday, Page of Wands: Stay task-oriented today and check off your to-do’s with intention. Okay…maybe even double-checking your to-do’s can be one of your to-do’s. Because Mercury, retrograde. You know the score. But even so, this looks like a great day to just get stuff done! Optimism is available if you just reach a little. I’ll take some extra, thank you! Moon in Sagittarius (most of the day).

Tuesday, Knight of Cups: A case of the feels creep up on you in your sleep? I’m seeing plenty of slosh today. Understand emotional flux is on the agenda. But also know the Knight’s brand of emotion tends to be overwhelming but not entrenched. In other words, it may not be that hard to change the FLAVOR of the emotion, even if you cannot change the level of the emotion.  That knowledge is like a blank check! A short time outside, three minutes with a favorite song, looking at some beautiful images, or mentally compiling a list of gratitudes regardless of how obscure or strange? That can easily shift the tenor of the feel-fest here. Utilize your conscious intention to direct the flow of emotion. Happy Fall Equinox/Mabon! Moon in Capricorn.

Wednesday, The Lovers: Look for the harmony and ride that wave. I’m not talking manufactured harmony. I’m talking making the choice–a keyword, for the Lover’s card–to align with what you see that harmonizes with your own energy. That means you don’t try to talk someone out of their beliefs or feelings. You merely connect with the ones that work for you and let the rest slide on by as if it didn’t happen. Direct your energy toward reinforcing what aligns with your soul, not fighting what does not. See the difference? Vote with your ATTENTION. Moon Void of Course in the AM, moving into Aquarius.

Thursday, Four of Swords: Exhale. Be sure to get enough sleep. Let go, detach and know it’s okay to not worry. Just be today. Just be. Moon in Aquarius.

Friday, Seven of Pentacles Reversed: Review of long-range hopes and plans. Some didn’t fly and the ones that didn’t, they seem loud today. Understood. But don’t just be sad or mad. Ask, “Why?” There is more magick in the failures than the successes here. Pluto goes direct. Moon in Pisces.

Saturday, Temperance: Integration of the insights cultivated throughout the week. Scheduling some quiet time or a meditation session is a great way to utilize this energy. Time in, around or on water also facilitates the process. Not convenient beyond a shower? Well, take the shower, sure, but also maybe watch a good movie. You can find messages for you there, all metaphorical like. Don’t question the magick. Prep for setting intentions for the Eclipse tomorrow. Moon in Pisces.

Sunday, Ace of Wands: It’s a day for deciding what you really want to do and getting started, even if it’s only the step of deciding. Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Aries, 4′ 40″ – Get your intentions on!

Overview/Advice, Eight of Wands: Feeling a little unsettled? Join the club–it’s a big room we’ve got going here. But you know, one thing I’ve learned very clearly and am repeatedly reminded of in this life: even when you think you know what’s ahead, you don’t. There is only now. So make the most of that now, every way you can. I’ve yet to hear anyone saying they have regretted being as fully present as possible in each moment. Yet how many of us make it our practice?

[bctt tweet=”Only the NOW is real. So live there. #quotes”]

Affirmation – Archangel Michael: “Remember who you are. You are a powerful, loving and creative child of God. You are very loved.” One of the best ways of staying true to yourself, living a life you can always be proud of and maintaining a sense of inner peace is remembering who you are. Any time you’re faced with a stressor or dilemma, ask yourself, “Who am I? Who do I choose to be, right now, today, this very moment?” Activate your heart energy, starting with yourself as always. Love is always right, always kind, always helpful no matter what the circumstances. Love always works.

It’s a week to look for the harmonies, and excuse yourself from all that doesn’t harmonize. Without trying to fix, without trying to change or cajole or be anybody else’s conscience. I don’t know about you but for me? Manning my own moral fortitude is plenty. I have the capacity to manage a conscience of one, thank you very much.

Are you finding harmony in your world?

Waterlogged: Tarot Flow, Aug. 17 – 23, 2015

It was late at night; I was laying on the couch. I had been crying–so much crying, there were no tears left. Exhausted but not sleepy, I just watched tree branch outlines shimmy back and forth through the window shade, rhythmic outlines, back and forth like the hypnotist’s swaying watch. There was just nothing left…no thoughts that hadn’t already been thought to death. No emotions that hadn’t been cried out. And nothing to do, nothing at all.

I didn’t know where I was going, but I knew for sure: it was going to be different.

Looking at this forecast, I’m remembering that night, mid Pluto transit. Because this week’s forecast, is like what followed that night. I surrendered, because there were no other option. The gift of surrender, however, is the fresh start that follows.

Weekly Tarot Forecast

Looking at this layout, I’m expecting one emotional week! Lots of cups and water-related cards. I would hasten to add, “emotional” doesn’t equal “bad emotions.” But it may not be all fun, and without question, a bit on the intense side. The absence of swords entirely–the mental element–is quite notable.

[bctt tweet=”#Tarot Forecast: Don’t expect people to make sense this week, including yourself.” #astrology]

Did you set an intention for the recent Leo new moon? Because this week, it looks like lots of potential for take-off with a dramatic flair! Just know that you’ll likely be taking off with a case of the feels, man.

Monday, Disruption – Creativity, The Empress: It’s funny to see the Empress associated with disruption. Usually, I think of her as being so calming, maternal figure that she is. But then I remember, the Empress is Venus energy, and Venus is retrograde. Of course, the card is inverted. Today, I expect bits of the past to stir the pot in the present, particularly in areas of love, money and creativity. Artistic or creative endeavors can make an impact and have a special power to show truth that isn’t understood otherwise. Metaphor packs a punch, too.

Tuesday, Patience and Planning – Innocence, The Sun: Not the day to be jaded. Look at projects and plans with fresh eyes, and try to inject solid, happy energy. Approach any goal setting with the eyes of a child, no preconceived notions. Look to cultivate Beginner’s’ Mind.

Wednesday, Passion Ignited – Trust, Knight of Cups: Big admonition to go with your heart and let the Universe sort out the details. This is loud and clear, y’all. Take that leap of faith.

Thursday, Harmony (with Base/Security & Throat/Communication Chakras) – Healing, King of Cups inverted: Who you are and what you say need to be sync with how you live. Anywhere that is it not in harmony creates pain. I don’t care about the “why it’s not” part. I’m sure you have good reasons. I’m just saying, living out of step with your inner self leaves you feeling insecure, insincere, and wounded. Look to align. It’s worth the trouble.

Friday, Light – Playfulness, Page of Wands inverted: Yes there is work to be done, but do it with your playful side intact. Don’t rain on your own parade! A light-hearted, fun approach gains more traction, even if you have to stretch a bit at first to introduce it.

Saturday, Accelerated Motion – Ripeness, 9 of Pentacles: Ah, blessed sweet progress! Efforts show payoff, and it feels like the world is truly moving. This feels to me more like an understanding, a connecting of the dots, than outward changes. Realization of how far you’ve come.

Sunday, Firm Foundation – Inner Voice, High Priestess: Do you need me to spell this out? Probably not! You know which way to go. That little voice inside is telling you. If your anxiety is drowning it out, get quiet and empty your mind. It will not steer you wrong.

Overview/Advice, Transformation – Going with the Flow, Ace of Cups: The gift for riding the wave of emotion this week is that your internal guidance system is full-on, on the job.  You just have to follow it. It makes ALL the difference in the world. Stay tuned in and stay the course. I’m not gonna lie–transformation is very hard work. It’s also very much worth it.

Aug 17 affirmation backAffirmation – “I trust the process of life. There is a rhythm and a flow to Life and I am part of it. Life supports me and brings to me only good and positive experiences. I trust the process of life to bring me my highest good.”

This is a tough affirmation for me to completely get behind.

I get the concept, for sure. All that happens is what needed to happen, that’s the basic idea. But I’ll tell you, it doesn’t always feel like that, and I’m talking big ways as well as small. I cannot bring myself to call every experience “a positive one” because a really important part of my job it talking to people who are in pain. Can every experience be used to it’s full advantage? Sure! I’d even go so far as to say it may be for the highest good ultimately–even when it’s hard to see or say that. But damn. It can hurt in the process. And I’m not okay with sugar-coating that fact up.

You know what? I’m going with a compromise. “I trust.” That’s my affirmation for this week. Just trusting is hard work. And just trusting is enough.

Do you have a case of the feels?

Right Place, Right Time: Weekly Tarot, Aug 10 -16

How often do you wanna just slap the Sally Sunshines of the world, who constantly assert the whole “everything happens for a reason” crap? You create your reality, you’re at the right place at the right time, there are no mistakes…etc. I say that sort of thing myself, full well knowing if I heard it at the wrong time, I’d want to slap me! When you’re hurting, it sure doesn’t feel like it.

But I’m going to say it anyway: you are in the right place, at the right time. Even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Anytime I see this many inverted cards with 5 days of 7 reversed, I know it’s going to be a two-steps-forward-one-step-back kind of week, most likely without a constant sense of clear direction and perhaps some strife. Bearing that in mind might help when you’re on the “one step back” of the energetic dance. Seeing the number of Wands (Fire energy) with some swords in there for good measure, I’d bet on some intensity as well.

That said, there is a lot of reassurance here as well.

August 10 - 16 Forecast

Monday, Sacrifice – Participation, 4 of Wands Inverted: What do you have to give up, to fit in to the group, be it work, family, friends, whatever? Is it worth it? It may well be, I’ll hasten to add. I cannot answer that question for you. I can only say it looks like a letting go is required to be a part of that gang. But that looks like the question at hand.

Tuesday, Material Harvest – Ripeness, 9 of Pentacles: Knowledge, education and training pay off financially. Being a class act across the board and comporting yourself with professionalism is highly recommended. Now, the fact this card appears at all tells me many will be tempted to behave otherwise. So heads up, huh?

Wednesday, Positive Movement Forward – Playfulness, Page of Wands Inverted: There is a time for work and a time for play, but you can maintain a fun-loving, pleasant attitude throughout. Make an extra effort to be upbeat today. It will help both you and the general populace at large.

Thursday, Stand Your Ground – Fighting, Knight of Swords: Looks like you may be on your own with a moral question, or at least it feels that way: the “on your own” part, as well as the “moral question” part. Be prepared to articulate your convictions, along with the reason for them. Integrity may not grant you a unanimous decision, but it sure feels a lot better and it can win the respect of the right people.

Friday, Partnerships & Alliances – Possibilities, 2 of Wands Inverted: Unlike yesterday, today smells of compromise. Of course, “compromise” isn’t a dirty word. It’s all in what you compromise. Wants versus needs, preferences versus moral questions, you know? Let go of what doesn’t matter; stand firm on what does. Choose your battles.

Saturday, Love Begins – Healing, King of Cups Inverted: Let loved ones in to what’s going on in your heart. Connect and share. It’s okay–you don’t have to feel 100%. The love in and of itself is healing.

Sunday, Rejoice in Celebration/Third Eye Chakra – Ice-olation, 3 of Swords Inverted: Another advisement to connect–both to spirit energy and loved ones. Darkness isn’t vanquished through fighting, but through light. Love heals, love comforts, and love wins.

[bctt tweet=”Do not flail against darkness. Just shine light. #quotes”]

Overview/Advice, Emotional Loss – Trust, Knight of Cups: Mourning a loss? It can feel like a free fall. Allow yourself to be supported, by loved ones and by spiritual convictions this week. It’s not taking the easy way out, to reframe and choose to believe. It’s healthy and healing.

Affirmation: All is well in my world. Sometimes, this is a damn hard affirmation to wrap your head around, isn’t it? Sometimes it feels like we are anything BUT well! Truth is, though, our scope of understanding is limited. We’re in school, and we don’t get to peek at the full lesson plan.

I can say there have been lots of times when I felt like my life was pretty much done in one way or another–things would never feel “okay” again, so I thought. And I can say with certainty, each and every time, that feeling was temporary. If you’re there now, my heart goes out to you. I hope the thought such states are temporary is of some comfort.

I would urge you, any time you feel too much hurt, too much darkness in your life, make it a point of shining light. That can mean helping someone else, surrounding yourself with beauty, caring for an animal, making something creative, planting flowers, even cleaning house. It doesn’t matter how you make light. Anything that engenders feelings of joy, love, or gratitude is like a floodlight energetically. It makes a difference.

You are in the right place, at the right time. You just may not know it, right now. You do know how to shine a little light, though. So when you don’t know anything else to do? Do that. Shine a little light. It will help.

How you doing out there?

What Can You Feel Good About? Weekly Flow Tarot Forecast, Jan 26–Feb 2

Weekly Tarot Forecast

“Do what you can feel good about.” I’ve given this advice many times, both to others and to myself in the mirror when faced with a hurtful situation. Family issues, rejections, and betrayals can sometimes leave us simultaneously wanting to make up and strike back. So in trying to decide what’s appropriate, a yardstick that doesn’t try to measure anyone else’s behavior is incredibly helpful.

This week? It’s like that. Do what you can feel good about and what you’ve committed to do.

Most of this coming week looks pretty good! While I’m not crazy about the weekend which the cards suggest may lean toward the raw side, I believe we can use the energy of the rest of the week to carry us through. It looks to be a fast-pasted week with emotional notes, starting off with the Knight of Cups, and including the Chariot and a very busy Five of Wands. The orange topic cards are people, so both yourself, others and your relationship(s) play a major role as well. In other words, this week doesn’t appear in a vacuum, folks. I expect both conflict and comforts to come from your inner circle. So be aware.

Also remember, we’re still in Mercury retrograde. So there may be a little déjà vu of old news showing up to spice up your week. Be graceful and gracious, and always double check your facts before taking action here, and you should be fine.

Monday, Future Life – Prince of Cups: This card promises an upcoming emotional connection, or a deepening of an existing emotional connection. Knights’ energy is not static; it moves! In short, your feelings take you new places. Sometimes it’s pleasant and sometimes it’s not, but it’s definitely moving. So what do you think of that?

Tuesday, Mind – Two of Wands: A decision to be made. If you wonder, “Am I up to this? Can I hold my own here?” The Two of Wands answer is “Yes,” although you may not be as certain as I am.

Wednesday, You – Ten of Pentacles: You’re surrounded by a loving family (be they biological or chosen) and the richness of being a part of that community. Revel in being a part of such a group.

Thursday, Others – The Chariot: Ah, people around you are going places! Be a follower or be a leader, but whatever you do, don’t stand still. You’ll get left behind.

Friday, Relationship – The Moon: This could go either way. There could be mystery and magic afoot, or it could turn out-and-out crazy on a dime. I would advise scrupulous honesty in all relationships. The Moon can show up for lies, and that’s not really the energy you want to invoke here. Don’t push for hard facts. Just allow interactions to take shape and don’t discount the power of emotions in creating reality.

Saturday, Hopes and Fears – Five of Wands: Either there is worry a conflict will never end, or an itching to kick some ass. Keep the temper in check.

Sunday, What You Can’t Change – Ten of Swords: Whoever has hurt you, it’s done. Whoever has not been true, it’s done. Facing up to the full impact is not fun by any stretch, but it’s the hardest part of betrayals. Once that’s over, the healing can really get underway.

Overview/Advice – Four of Wands: Regardless of what others do, honor your commitments and do what YOU feel good about. Your goodwill may waver based on others’ behavior, but your integrity should not. Stand by your word.

Affirmation: The Universe is Big Enough to fulfill my every intent. I am thinking of this in terms of expectation versus reality. I may EXPECT to get my desires in a straightforward, linear fashion because I’ve been “good” and tried my best to do my work. I may get disgruntled if I start at point A and life throws me a tsunami and I realize I’m so far away from my pre-identified point B that I can not longer find it in my radar.

But our vision is so very limited and sometimes, what we end up with is much different that what we envisioned. Doesn’t mean we’re not moving ahead or growing. It only means it’s not in the way we might have plotted it. We need both a deliberate intent for who we want to be, and the flexibility to ride the flow and discover new alternatives. At times, that ugly package is the Universe’s biggest gift and we just didn’t know. Wherever you are, make the best of it and know that if you surrender to the flow, you’ll get much further than if you fight it. Don’t ask “how” you’ll get there so much as focusing on the what you want your life to be about. That vision, attention to where you are going, is what gets you there. Fixation on the rocks brings pain. Fixation on the destination keeps you tracking ever towards it.

Hope you have a wonderful week and manage to sidestep the rocks. And if in doubt, remember, do what you feel good about! Everything else (eventually) falls into place. Much love.

How’s your week looking?

Think Twice, Speak Once: Weekly Flow Tarot, Nov. 24 – 30

Tarot Flow Nov 24 - 30

“Wait a minute. Who am I, and who do I want to be?”

This is a question I ask often of myself, especially when my ego is getting a little beat up. I won’t even say it’s over imaginary slights, because some of them are quite real and intentional! But that doesn’t mean I’m giving a critic free reign to my self image. It doesn’t mean anger, hurt, disgust or retaliation are my only choices of response.

That’s not a meal that feeds my soul. I can leave that table whenever I choose.

That is this week, right there! Looking at this lineup, I’m expecting self-control and remembering who we are—and why we’ve opted to become that person—to be invaluable. Highly notable is the number of court cards. People and their personality quirks, including your own, play a pivotal role. Coming as we are right off of a New Moon in Sagittarius, I’m betting some of the intentions set will play out in a slightly different way than expected, due the personality factors of the people said intentions impact.

Monday, Future – Queen of Swords: Moving forward, goals will be achieved via rational means, and eliminating wastes, of both resources and energy. To-do lists can readily be logically prioritized and pared down today. Dead weight needs to go! No need to be unkind. There never is a need for that. But you do need to be clear, decisive and brave. The Queen of Swords is all those things. That is part of why she’s so effective. Call her energy up to help you.

Tuesday, Hopes and Fears – Four of Pentacles Reversed: Which of your quiet little neuroses eats up way too much of your energy? What ridiculous worries do you allow in? You can dump one (or some) of them today. Call upon yesterday’s Queen of Swords as an aid and apply her standards to what you obsess over. If you can drop an energetic burden you’ve been unnecessarily indulging, you’ll feel so much lighter!

Wednesday, What to Know – Ten of Pentacles Reversed: An investment or concession may be required to “get along.” I cannot say if it’s a good investment, a good value. That’s for you to decide. Just don’t be surprised at the expectation from someone close for a sacrifice of some kind on behalf of the group.

Thursday, Positive Influence – King of Cups Reversed: Your feelings are private, and do not become public unless you act on them. Allowing them to flow and exploring their significance first? Well, that’s a really, really good idea. You’ll learn a lot more that way, and spare yourself grief in the process. Also? HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Friday, Immediate Future – Knight of Cups: Feelings are flowing freely, and they are quickly shifting. Expect this to continue for a bit. There is no reason to be overly distraught by feeling upset today, because it can go as quickly as it arrives. This is a necessary period of emotional processing.

Saturday, Unconscious Desires – Queen of Wands: Secretly? We may wish we ran the show, never gave in, and stood our ground all the time. Realistically, it’s sometimes a better choice to choose our battles. There’s nothing wrong with these desires, but they will serve you better if made conscious. You don’t want to be digging in your heels without understanding the drive to do so.

Sunday, What you Can’t Change – Page of Wands Reversed: What’s been done is done. Decisions are made, action has been taken, and people are whomever they are. None of these things are within your control. Let them go!

Overview/Advice – Page of Swords Reversed: Be wary of criticism and words that are hard to take back. By the same token, carefully choose which criticism aimed at you in constructive and helpful. Sincerity is not the mark—applicability and your own judgment of how it fits with who you want to be is what matters. You’ve heard the admonition, “Measure twice, cut once?” Well, this week it’s “think twice, speak once.”

Affirmation, Remember Who You Are – Archangel Michael: “You are a powerful, loving and creative child of God. You are very loved.” Do not let any upsetting feedback muck with your self image. KNOW who you are, and always do your best to act in concert with that, and it’s not easy to get thrown off-balance by personality quirks and other people’s issues. If you stay centered in love, in good intention, and in a feeling a gratitude, this comes pretty easily.

All told, it’s a week where gratitude is especially healing, and generosity, with yourself as well as others, will do much to ease any rough patches. Just keep that question, “Who am I and who do I want to be?” close by and you’ll have few problems!
