Six of Wands Rx: Do-It-Yourself Bright Sides

Some of the whole purge-fest I’m doing is sorting my memories and history.

There’s an incense burner I’ve been considering. I’m not kidding when I say I’m inching along here, considering things in isolation of all else.

So yes, it sounds ridiculous. But I’m considering this incense burner at length.

I really love the design. It’s a light blue ceramic dragon and it’s very cool. But the piece has got baggage.

I bought this incense burner to cheer myself up on a very hard day several years ago. It was a weepy day. A day where I felt like a failure.

A day I don’t particularly like to remember.

So what is this incense burner to me, now? Is this a physical representation of that rough day? Or is it a tangible symbol of my decision to be kind to myself when I most needed it?

In reality, it’s both. What it’s mostly is what I decide for it to be.

And that decision is the same sort of thing we’re looking at for next week.

Next Week in Tarot

Outlook is the reversed Six of Wands, with advice coming through as the Ten of Pentacles, pictured from the Radiant Rider-Waite deck.

I expect the week to feature plenty of partial wins, and that’s good news. However, it’s not all going to  pretty in the making, so just let yourself be okay with that. Pragmatically speaking, what choice do we have anyway?

Count your blessings, whatever they are. Make the most of what’s good. Eat, drink and be merry with whatever bounty you discover. Give yourself full permission to dismiss any losses as ultimately unimportant (because they are, whether or not it’s obvious yet).

Calling up loving feelings will help you stay grounded and centered throughout. Love will help you see blessings for what they are. Love offers clarity and direction. Love connects us to inspiration and creativity.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say love really fixes damn near everything next week. Consider it your go-to cure-all secret weapon and you’ll do well.

Are you mixing up some bright sides?

Death Rx: Not Done

Humans have this funny little habit of believing that whatever they see, right here and now, indicates the entirety of what they ever will see.

We do it with situations. With relationships. With jobs. With everything! As if the world something but an ever-evolving, constantly moving, dynamic entity.

Every moment we live is nothing more than a snapshot in time. Next week, it would be a good idea to be mindful of that fact.

Next Week in Tarot

Outlook this week is Death reversed, with advice of the Ten of Cups and Six of Wands, both reversed. These colorful cards are from the Crystal Visions Tarot.

I see Death reversed as heralding a general deconstruction. In terms of a weekly forecast, I’d expect to see situations that have previously been entrenched now sort of pulling apart at the seams. Partial breakdown or decay of existing systems could be seen with this kind of energy.

But there is an emphasis in these cards on the idea of partial or incomplete breakdown here, not wholesale. This isn’t Death upright. This looks more like circumstances put on life support, than circumstances ready to be put to rest entirely. So we may be on the last legs of a situation, but it’s not done yet.

The advice draw this week was unexpected enough that I pulled a clarifier. Ten of Cups upright would suggest emphasizing happiness and harmony, prioritizing your relationship those you love over what happens in the outside world. An upright Six of Wands would indicate a victory. However, both these cards showed up reversed. So again, it’s not quite there yet.

Notable also are that both the advice cards also speak to emotional sorts of “wins.” The issues in play are likely to be some close to your heart in some respect. They matter to us individually.

Don’t declare victory next week over anything! Sure, appreciate your wins (and there’s likely to be some wins). And sure, take heart in any improvements you see in progress. Always, always take the time to feel gratitude for what’s going right. But the process of getting from A to B isn’t a done deal. Your participation is still important in matters that are important to you.

Work remains to be done. Attention remains to be paid.  Ongoing involvement matters here. So next week, acknowledge your wins for sure and be happy for them. I expect you’ll see plenty of encouraging signs in the days ahead. But also bear in mind, more needs to happen.

Protect your quiet time and downtime to help you stay clear, alert and connected because that’s what puts you in the best position to get that joyful energy more free-flowing. It will take some time and some engagement, but no question: it’s worth it.

Hope you all have a great week! And if you want to check in for a little help figuring out your plan, give me a holler for a private consult.

Six of Wands: Winning? If You Know What to Look For

A big-hearted buddy was explaining why she’s started paying attention to things related to how the stuff she buys is made–specifically what the experience is like for the people making it.

She wasn’t trying to recruit converts or throw shade on anyone not doing as she was.

She’s simply doing what she feels best about. She’s following her gut to make decisions with the intention of supporting positive outcomes for the wider world. That’s it.

You’re true job is to live as authentically as you can. This is good news, because you can always do that.

Even in the midst of chaos, you can always follow your gut about what feels truest. That’s how you are most powerful: undiluted heart.

It would be a good week to practice this kind of approach.

Next Week in Tarot

Outlook is the Six of Wands with advice of the Knight of Cups from the lovely Legacy of the Divine deck.

I did a down and dirty video on this week here.

Any time you see the Six of Wands for a weekly forecast, you can expect things are working out well. But if you mix that with all the feelings (and there will be plenty of those!), the experience can be unpredictable even if the outcome is far less so.

Navigation is most accurate by taking note of emotions. This isn’t a call to whitewash your feelings. That’s never very effective anyway. Just do the best you can with what you’ve got to work with.  Be as loving to yourself as you can, and it becomes easier to be loving to everybody else. Smooth out the rough edges of life with kindness and generosity. Start in the mirror and work your way out.

Feel what you feel and let those feeling steer your way.  In doing so, consistently doing what feels best in your heart, you’re going to stay in harmony with your bigger intentions for the world. And you’ll feel better, too.

Be the Tree

One of the nice thing about doing readings on the regular is a consistent awareness of energy shifting in the collective. This comes naturally to all of us to some degree, but there’s nothing like that clue-by-four to the head when you find yourself saying very similar things to multiple people over the course of a few days.

Themes definitely emerge. That’s what I was feeling this week.

The world felt awash in Neptunian confusion and a soluttion emerged crystal clear in the form of a vision I got during a pre-reading meditation.

I saw a majestic tree silhouetted against the sky, very much like the one pictured above. [Photo courtesy Rob Hooper Art.]

While this tree stood immutable (as trees do), the world was quickly changing around it. Like a time lapse video, I saw seasons coming and going, sunrises and sunsets. People came and went. Flowers bloomed and died and bloomed again. The entire world shifted around the tree while it stood solid, grounded and strong. It was just being.

And as I watched all this unfold, I heard the simple message clear and concise: “Be the tree.”

Be. The. Tree.

Now, a tree is just a tree. A tree doesn’t envy the bushes. A tree doesn’t pretend to be a flower to elicit more affection. A tree doesn’t chase the sun to make sure he gets enough light. A tree doesn’t worry about how much rain is coming or when. A tree doesn’t seek approval or manipulate or worry about being understood by the other trees.

A tree grows for sure, and develops more branches and character over the years. But at the heart of the matter, that tree is always utterly and unapologetically a tree.

What if we were more like the tree? What if we decided to be who we are, purely and unapologetically? What if we left the workings of the Universe to the Universe, and just brought our authentic selves to every day, living completely in the moment?

That would be a very good way to orient ourselves, especially in the next week.

Tarot this Week

For outlook, we’ve got the Six of Wands (!) and advice comes in the form of the Sun. Woot! From the Legacy of the Divine Tarot deck. What an optimistic forecast!

Here’s the video version.

In short, expect the world is working out for you. Don’t reach for it and don’t give whit one about who may agree or disagree. Do your best to remain happy and make play and joyful activity a priority here for the best outcome.

And if you’d like a one-on-one to get your roots reointend, give me a holler.

Have a great week, folks!

Energy Budget: Weekly Tarot, Feb 27 – Mar 5, 2017

I spend a good amount of time on social media for business. It’s goal-driven participation, but you know how that is. So much of everything there…

Oh my God, I hide so much!

It’s daily. Lots and lots and lots gets hidden or blocked. And not because there is thing one wrong with what I’m hiding. People can discuss whatever it is they want to discuss and feel about it however they want to feel about it. I am genuinely egotistical, but not so much I think I’ve cornered the market on truth or perspective. I would never want to impinge upon the freedom of others! But that doesn’t mean I have to be a participant in all of it, either.

It’s just really important to me, how I feel. I consider how I feel THE top priority in my life. It’s my job to feel as good as I can, as much of the time as I can. And to that ends, I won’t become mired in lengthy discussion of issues that are upsetting to me.

Does such avoidance make me selfish, uninformed, deluded, privileged, or otherwise derelict in my social responsibilities?

Maybe. I know for a fact, there are kind-hearted, loving people who deem it so–and that, too, is their right. Don’t care, if you want to know the God’s-to-honest truth. I love y’all but I’ve gotta make decisions for myself. Some people feel that fighting what they perceive as wrong is the only way to impact change. If that’s what you believe, then you should do that! Always do what you feel is right and I wish you well in doing it.

For me, I believe being the best person I know how to be is my greatest opportunity to contribute. So I’m doing that.

This week? People may benefit from a less direct approach across the board, too–more water, less rock. At least, consider stepping back until you’re feeling utterly stable in your own skin. Impulsiveness or brashly powering through barriers is not favored.

Tarot foretells a week that remains somewhat squishy, with a mix of primarily Cups, Pentacles and peppered with some Major Arcana. We start out rough–eclipse hangover, perchance? But by the weekend (provided you played your cards right), it’s looking pretty sweet.

Overall, I keep getting themes of budgeting energy expenditures. Don’t spend what you don’t have to freely spend on any level, and prioritize managing your emotional state. That is something you ARE in charge of!  I’ll take it, ’cause really, what choice do I have anywho?

View the Full Forecast in video, here.

I liked the Queen of Swords advice last week to hit the bullet points, so I’m running with it.

Day-by-Day-Play-by-Play

  • Monday, Queen of Pentacles rx: Mind your resources and don’t spend more than what you’ve got of whatever it is.
  • Tuesday, Knight of Cups rx: Hold off with emotional dumping messages. Highly sensitive time in general and strong possibility you’ll be misheard if you communicate impulsively.
  • Wednesday, Six of Pentacles rx: Take care of your own business. Don’t hop in to try and fix for others. No charity work.
  • Thursday, Ace of Pentacles rx: Lowish energy. Don’t overspend, anything, again.
  • Friday, The Tower: Choices earlier in the week culminate. If you overdid, it will fall apart today. If you showed restraint, the crashes won’t be yours.
  • Saturday, The Chariot: Single-minded focus on what you care about, and forget the rest. Simple.
  • Sunday, Two of Cups: Great date night. Expect peace, harmony and music. Good flow today.
  • Overview/Advice, Six of Wands: It may not be obvious, but it’s all working out in the bigger picture. Appreciate what’s working and let everything else be.
  • Affirmation: Loss. Focus on what you’ve got, not what you don’t. It’s your choice, what you make bigger in your life.

Are you able to “mind your own emotional store” easily? What helps you?

Glorious Singularity: Tarot, Oct 24 – 30, 2016

The last several weeks, I’m seeing a theme in the forecasts–or maybe? The theme is in my head, my experience. But either way, it’s a valid theme.

[bctt tweet=”Focus on your own life and let others live theirs. #OnMyRadar ” username=”goddess_dix”]

Even if you think the others are crazy or stupid or deluded or clueless or careless or just out-and-out wrong. Be YOU, regardless of what others are being or doing.

I’m beginning to think, this message is why I’m here. My intention for this incarnation, is to spread the message of following your own path without judging or pushing against anybody else’s path.

Why else would I be so gloriously and singularly weird, spending so much of my time hoping to inspire others to be true to their own glorious singularity?

Sometimes we think the world would be better if everybody agreed with us. But that’s not true. The diversity–including the bits we don’t like–make for a much richer experience. Even the ugliness inspires desire for better. Everything inspires desire for better.

Our job is not to get others to conform. Our job is not to conform. Our job is to be true to ourselves, singularly. And that is more than enough. It’s glorious.

Audio Version of the Weeks Forecast

The Zombie Tarot deck loves repeats. Zombies like to shuffle. Get it?

Funny but true.

Lots of Court Cards this week, which tells us personalities will play a big role in events. A fair number of reversals–some of the expressions of personality that have impact will not be conscious behavior. There is still a lot of delusion, lies, and harsh words out there but it’s not too hard to dodge. Just pay attention to yourself and you bypass 98% of the BS and feel better in the process. Also understand, we definitely are ending the week on a high note. So traveling on the high road pays off!

Monday, Queen of Swords Rx: Be aware of your words. Don’t be in a hurry to cut someone off–in traffic, in words, in deeds, from your life, whatever. Take your time. The Queen of Swords cuts ties swiftly in general. Reversed, she can be a bit hasty. So if you’re getting the urge. set it aside for a minute. Put it on the back burner and wait, okay?

Tuesday, Seven of Pentacles Rx: This energy feels impatient, just like yesterday. All things are developing over time as appropriate. Just chill. Just because you cannot see all the progress doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Take a chill pill and all will be well.

Wednesday, Seven of Cups: The world should go home. It’s drunk. Confused. There’s an irrationality going around. Don’t buy into it–or fight against it, which is a lesser-known way of buying into it. And don’t go drink without a designated driver. Don’t try to fight the distortion. Let it roll over you and pass on by. This really works best. You cannot fight waves, but you can be solid and let them wash over you or you can float atop them. Those that bend will not break.

Thursday, Death: Yesterday’s distortion and upheaval from earlier this week (and before) will come to a culmination. Rotten, the not right, will be exposed. The jig is up! I don’t know what jig we’re talking. But it’s up anywho! On an individual level–stick to what you know and don’t try to control others. Just let it be.

Friday, Knight of Pentacles: Attend to the details and be meticulous. Focus on you, let your neighbors do whatever they are doing. Care for your OWN details and leave the rest.

Saturday, Knight of Swords Rx: Don’t blurt angry words, even if you have to stuff your mouth with Fritos to avoid it. Be kind with your words! The world needs kindness, you need kindness, and it just feels better for everybody.

Sunday, Six of Wands: Love wins. Kindness wins. Joy wins. All the love you’ve planted earlier this week blooms like a beautiful garden. This is an awesome day so enjoy it!

Overview/Advice, King of Pentacles Rx: Don’t try to clean up your neighbors yard or fix anybody else’s issues. Focus this week, eyes on your on paper, clean up your own room, tidy up your own life. Looking for other people’s problems is a fancy way of avoiding your own life. Stay in your own lane, keep your own house in order and let other people handle theirs. You have enough resources for yourself. Use them for yourself.

Affirmation: I am safe in the Universe. All life loves and supports me. It really IS all right. Some of what people are upset and freaking out about? It’s okay. It’s going to be okay. Yes, there are jerks out there but life is okay. All will be fine!

Take care, stay clear, be happy! Are you feeling your glorious singularity?
