03/21/14: Move on it! / Knight of Wands

knight-of-wands

The Knight of Wands wants you to just do. And the situation? It’s your doing. So the solution to the situation? Tis will also be your doing. Creativity is a great Knight of Wands ally.  It’s time to brainstorm but more importantly, act on those ideas.

Ready to move?

03/20/14: Submerged / Reversed Queen of Cups

Queen of Cups Rx

In Tarot, “Significator” is the the person asking the question. In other words, she represents YOU. The reversed Queen of Cups is emotional, often to the point of being unreasonable or even confused. She may be driven by feelings she barely understands or is not fully conscious of, for that matter.

Any time you see emotion way out of whack with stimulus, you can bet there’s something hiding under those waves. Keyword for the day is “submerged.” Whatever you are seeing on the emotional or intuitive fronts, consider it a sampler. A taste test. Proverbial tip of the iceberg.

And if you get a whiff of emotion from somebody around you, make the same assumption. What you’re seeing, it’s just a tiny little bit of what’s there. Don’t get drowned by misjudging undertow potential.

You feeling undertow today?

03/19/14: Ouch, but a Place to Start / Reversed 3 of Swords

3 of Swords Rx

Another reversed three today, with the “outcome” coming in as the Three of Swords reversed.

Let’s keep this short and (not entirely) sweet: The end game is a partial, although not total, loss. You win some and you lose some applies, but today is the losing some part.

However—and this is a BIG however—if you are feeling like you are losing it all, rethink that, okay? This card is never comfortable, for sure. But seeing it reversed, I’m inclined to say you can find mitigation for the pain. Consolation, some degree of “gift in disguise.”

It feels sort of like finally getting a diagnosis after a protracted mystery illness. You may not like the label, but having that makes it easier, you know? It’s a place to start.

And that’s what we have here: something lost, yes. But also, we know exactly where we stand and without question, we have a place to start.

You feeling this? (Hoping NO…)

03/18/14: Body Choices / 2 of Swords

Two of Swords

The Two of Swords makes an interesting pair with “body.” What choices are you making about your health and activity? Are they reasonable, rational?

The Two of Swords also frequently points to turning points. Crossroads or decision points are highlighted with this card. You can do THIS or you can do THAT. Which will it be?

Here, I want to remind you that your everyday decisions do have an impact on your body, which also has an impact on both your mind and spirit. You cannot only listen to one and ignore the others. If you care for yourself well physically, your thinking will be clearer and your connection will be stronger. Your body and your soul are a package deal.

Think about that next time you’re shortchanging the old bag of flesh, will you? Ha!

Are you making choices regarding your body?

03/17/14: Out of the Loop / 3 of Cups Rx

3 of Cups

The Three of Cups is a card I’d rather see upright in the topical area of romance, since upright, it tells us of being amongst our people, you know?

I’m reading this as mild uneasiness in the love life department. Feelings of being a bit of an outsider, an ever-so-slight-hard-to-put-the-finger-on kind of disconnect. Maybe you don’t feel like you fit in with the friends, or feel a bit left out due inside jokes. Nothing big, nothing tangibly awful, just feeling a bit “off’ for want of a more descriptive word.

It’s okay. You can be an individual in a group. You are good enough, being you! You connect with people based on who YOU are. If that doesn’t impress, it’s not anybody you’d want to impress. And the sensation could just as well be more about you than anyone else.

Nobody always feels like they are with “their people.” So let it be. And don’t over-imbibe. They’re drinking on this card and I’m thiking that is a potential to lose touch with your sensibilities. Moderation, okay?

You feel “out of the loop” in romance?

03/16/17: New Damn Socks / 9 of Wands, 8 of Cups

9 of Wands, 8 of Cups

When I was fat-finger shuffling it, the Eight of Cups flopped out. But I didn’t really want to use it for the daily, so I pulled anywho. It makes a very interesting statement paired with the never-say-die Nine of Wands in the “what to use in the future” category.

And so appropriate for the Virgo full moon!

Leave behind what is no longer useful. Emotionally detach. You don’t need to lay waste to the landscape or upset anybody else’s cup. Instead, you decide what’s right for YOU. In the future, you hold fast to that and let no conceivable interference move you from your post holding fast.

On the Eight of Cups: Every emotional release in our lives create an empty space to be filled. So many times, we expend TONS of energy trying to rehabilitate those old cups, hoping that water will turn to wine, hoping to find something in them the billionth time we check that is no longer sour. Every connection that ends creates space so that a better-fitting one may be allowed in. Without the space, it cannot happen. That purge is always the first step.

On the Nine of Wands: Once you have what you’re after—as opposed to trying to force what you have to become what you’re after—dig in. Hold on, and give it everything you’ve got to make it go and grow.

I guess this whole forecast could be summed up with the notion, to thine own self be true. Either not releasing what is not working for you or not holding out for what is are both ways we can be untrue to ourselves. It can be easier, less painful not to face the mess. But if you are willing to get past the mess, you can end up with something else worthy of protecting. The mess is not it! Value yourself.

Throw out all those socks with holes in them. Then you can get yourself some new damn socks!
