Week Ahead, 4/28: Not that bad…

Eh. Kinda ouchy but still manageable…

Short version: It’s probably not as bad as you think–a fact which I underscored and illustrated by misreading Osho Zen’s version of “Strength” as the “Tower.” You’ll get the most mileage by cultivating some faith where it’s lacking, doing what you have to do but letting the rest go.

Upside: May be some blessings in disguise, wrapped up in this intense mess.

Aside: For Godssakes, stop comparing your worth to everybody else’s! This is cropping up all over the place on my radar, so I’m mentioning it now. You are unique and so is your value. Okay?

01/29/14: Gambling Success / Strength Rx

Strength Mystic Dreamer Tarot Deck

“You’ve got to know when to hold ’em
Know when to fold ’em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you’re sittin’ at the table
There’ll be time enough for countin’
When the dealin’s done” – Kenny Rogers, The Gambler

It caught my attention, to see Strength inverted paired with a “Success” position. I’d have expected Strength to be upright here, but it’s not. It’s saying to me that success doesn’t always come from never letting go. Every bit as much, success comes from knowing WHAT to let go of.

Forget the phrase “it’s the principle of the thing.” The principle I’d advise considering s pragmatism.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Har!

09/17/13: Do-able / Strength Reversed

Strength Reversed Tarot Meaning

Well, I really want something optimistic today. So here we go: Strength reversed says it’s not necessarily easy, but it’s not as hard as you think it’s gonna be.

Does that work for you?

Weekly Tarot 9/16: Strength via Elbow Grease

Use your strength to get it going!

Short version: One step, one bit at a time, just do what you need to do. It’s going to take some stamina and follow-through this week, but you CAN accomplish. Just don’t procrasitinate and don’t give up. It does take work, but it’s not as hard as you likely fear before getting started.

Steady and Strong – Weekly Forecast Video 6/3/13

Here’s the weekly forecast for next week, starting 6/3/13. It’s do-able for sure.

Short version: It’s a week for gentle, peaceful, but above all, UNYIELDING attention to your goals. Challenges are not to be accepted. You approach this way for the most success.

12/27/12: Quiet Power | Strength

And a very lovely version of Strength this is—but then again, I’m partial to felines and here we’ve got several. All the standard associations apply: Leos, steady, ongoing attention, and being able to maintain for the long haul.

In almost every version of Strength I’ve ever seen, there’s also an implicit suggestion that strength is not necessarily visible from the outside. These cards are usually adorned with women overcoming lions, seemingly without effort. A gentle, quiet demeanor can be deceptive, if you’re only looking on the outside. Strength has nothing to do with outward appearances can be signs of insecurity as opposed to real power. Flash isn’t required.

Of course, my Scorpio Mars is partial to this interpretation. People routinely underestimate me. That’s a significant tactical advantage. If everybody knows the firepower you have at your disposal, the enemy comes in well prepared. If they think little of your prowess, they may overlook you completely or if they do gear up for a fight, they’ll be in for quite a surprise, huh?

Know you have what it takes to prevail, whether or not anyone else can see it. “Anyone else” doesn’t NEED to see it. Only you do.

Is your power quiet?
