Everyday Tarot 07/27/11: Cutting Losses

tarot-forecastI’m still in my “cut to the chase” phase, so we’ll keep this Tarot forecast short but (we hope) relevant. I know some are getting whomped out there. If you’re not, support those that are!

Today’s Tarot forecast is another 3-card spread, because the Transparent Tarot provides  exceptional imagery this way—the Five of Pentacles, the High Priestess and the King of Swords.

Sadness hangswhat’s not lingers in the air; every breathe is like sucking in smoke after a fire. It burns. The ache is for what we’ve had and lost, even if it were but sweet illusion.

It’s time to let the deeper story unfold, naturally. You cannot force here—only receive whatever surfaces.  Don’t worry, that you don’t understand yet. Allowing the truth to emerge completely will bring understanding. With understanding, informed and fair decisions about how to proceed become evident. Surgery hurts, but you’re healthier once you heal, unimpeded by disease. You’ll know consciously what you’ve sensed already—which parts of your world are serving and which parts have been outgrown.

Are you cutting losses?

Everyday Tarot, 07/26/11: Don’t Isolate!

I’ve been kind of inclined to rush to the point the last few days’ Tarot forecast. Have you noticed? This is because I feel the same energy as everybody else, and this is what I can come up to work it. Don’t worry–I’m sure I’ll get my mouth mojo back soon.

Today’s 3-card spread is the Three of Cups, the Ten of Wands and the King of Cups. Here’s the quickie forecast:

Lighten your burdens by connecting with loved ones.  Definitely not the time to isolate. The extra juice this provides helps you care for yourself, for others, and live in concert with your feelings. That’s a worthy goal.

You feeling this?

Everyday Tarot, 07/25/11: Prisoner of Your Own Mind

daily-tarot-forecastSee the sky for the clouds? I hope so!

Today’s Tarot is a 3-card spread from the Transparent Tarot deck—we have the Devil, the Emperor and the Nine of Swords. And looking at the cards in overlay should tell you right then and there, what’s special about the transparent Tarot.

Let’s do today’s message down and dirty, okay?

The worries, the fear, the sense of being trapped? It’s due to attachment over having everything as you believe it “should be.” You do not control the current environment. You are not in the drivers’ seat when it comes to outside circumstance.

All you can control is you own thinking process. Don’t deny or isolate now, as that grows the fears. Accept and surrender attachment to what you do not control, what doesn’t belong to you, in order to free up your power to impact what does.

You feeling like a prisoner of your own mind lately?

Everyday Tarot, 06/26/11: Where do you put your faith?

daily-forecast-transparent-tarotPulling up the cards now that I selected for Everyday Tarot a couple days back, they seem way too much in sync with a reading I did yesterday. But of course, there must be a lesson in there for the rest of us. Else, we wouldn’t be seeing it now.

Today’s daily Tarot forecast is another three card spread from the Transparent Tarot.

  • Five of Cups or “Lord of Loss in Pleasure,” associated with Mars in Scorpio
  • The Hanged Man or “The Sprit of the Mighty Waters,” modernly associated with Neptune
  • Seven of Cups or “Lord of Illusionary Success,” associated with Venus in Scorpio

With both Scorpio and Neptune energy involved, we’re talking about deeply rooted feelings, and the choice lies within the Hanged Man’s watery realm—escape versus transcendence.

Escape is like remaining in the cocoon, telling yourself how perfect everything is outside. Transcendence requires acknowledging the spilled cups, allowing yourself to feel those pain it in expectation it will lead to transformation. Neither are especially easy.

I guess the real answer is in where you lay your faith—is it in the power of your desires to shape your experience or the power of your love to heal whatever hurts arise?

What do you see here? Do you know where your faith lies?

Everyday Tarot, 06/25/11: Transcending Polarities

daily-tarot-forecast-transparentI wanted something fresh, so I reached for the Transparent Tarot. Superimposing the images triggers entirely different stories than you’d get looking at each card in isolation. It’s like visual poetry, sure to stir something up! And stir it did.

Today’s Tarot forecast is a three card spread—er, stack.

  • The Moon or “Ruler of Flux and Reflux,” associated with Pisces (I know, it’s counter-intuitive. Think in terms of meaning and don’t gripe to me about it.)
  • The World or “The Great One of the Night of Time,” associated with Saturn
  • Two of Wands or “Lord of Dominion,” associated with Mars in Aries

Two Major Arcana—it’s a deep, what we’re looking at. The two figures present their wands to each other, each with like force and conviction. It’s a polarity.

See how this Moon has her physical eyes closed, but her Third Eye open? Framed by the World energy—integrated, confident of her own integrity—she can afford to be generous. She understands on a deep level how differences in perspective are part of the natural order, trusting each to travel their own sacred path in their own time and way, without getting caught up in the details. Details aren’t necessary to live well here.

So the stuff that gets under my skin? The people, places and things that so often frustrate me? How about I let go of it, look higher, seek a more complete picture where everyone is exactly where they’re supposed to be, doing whatever it is they need to do? That doesn’t mean I don’t need to protect myself at times. But those times are relatively few and far between.

Today, I’m looking to be respectful of everyone I meet, whether they vibrate very much like me or very much apart. I’m going to understand, on a soul level, each of us is here, walking our own path, and that is a sacred and individual (Fool’s) journey; it’s not necessary for me to understand others’ paths; my job is to walk my own as well as I can. For everyone else, send as much love as possible when we pass.

Everyday Tarot, 06/14/11: Beyond “Should Have Been”

daily-tarot-forecast-transparent-3-cardI’ve been trying to integrate messages dropped in my lap, left and right lately. It’s hard work, to be honest. I know I’m not done, but am feeling a shift. This is both exciting and disturbing. It may be an ugly mess, but it is my ugly mess and it needs to be cleaned up. So I’ll do my best. (And will continue to blame my Moldavite, just the same.)

Today’s Tarot forecast is a three-card mash-up from the awesome Transparent Tarot—we got the Page of Pentacles, Eight of Cups and The Lovers.

page of pentacleslovers tarot cardeight of cups tarot

This is usually the place where I start talking about astrological correspondences and alternative titles and whatnot. But you know, I am just not going to go there today.

Instead, let’s head straight for the point—you get your gifts, find your harmony, and build a higher vibration in this physical world via opening your heart, leaving behind emotional attachments to how things “should be.”

Forget what might have been. Instead, take what IS, infuse it with as much love and understanding as you can muster–and walk away from the rest. Because it’s like poison, drinking from half-filled cups of hurt and regret. Love cleanses and heals. That’s what you want to invoke here.
