10/12/11: Give it a Rest | Five Wands, Nine Swords

5_of_Wands9_of_SwordsWe’ve got the Five of Wands and Nine of Swords from Shadowscapes. The conflict and struggle gets under your skin. Guilt, worry or a sense of being alone amplify the discomfort. On the plus side, the feelings that visit in the night are internally generated, not from outside yourself. I guess that makes it better. At least, it makes it more managable.

Make sure you’re picking your battles wisely. And get some damn rest already! Not getting enough sleep is making you cranky.

So sayth the Tarot according to Dixie.

How y’all doing?

Wow, those cards are so beautiful indeed!

I have all the late Libra/early Scorpio planets transiting my 12th at the moment (and the Full Moon opposed it all) and I sure feel tired. I’ve been sleepy all week long, and no matter how many hours of zzzzzzz’s I get, I am still sleepy since sleep tends to be disturbed, especially just before waking up. I have been skipping anything that I can skip and I am just exhausted every day. Hoping this will pass once the Sun and Venus and Mercury will hit my Asc and move into my 1st. Saturn, sadly, will stay for over 2 years!

  • Angela says:

I woke up feeling more peaceful than I have for over a week now, but it’s a shaky peace. Last week, I woke up feeling even more empty, and thinking about giving almost everything away- including tarot decks. I’m still thinking about it.

  • Regina says:

Oh these cards show my state of mind to perfection today! I have a decision to make today… do I take the soul-crushing, mindless, energy-draining desk job that I fear will make me dead inside… but will pay my rent, bills & food? Or do I say no to the rat-race and stay on my true but unconventional, energy-affirming path, and risk having to live in my car & eat at the soup-kitchen?

What to do? What to do? Yep… conflict & worry. Talk about being between a rock & a hard place!

WOW I am so cranky I almost skipped Daily Tarot to start googling. (LOL CancerMom) I guess it feels irreverant to seek spiritual guidance when I feel like my head is about to explode. But… lucky I did!!! Confirmation, as usual, um… as always here.

Maybe another bike ride through a fall leafy forest will chill me out. Ya, I found the most awesome forest preserve, which is helping to preserve my sanity, along with dark chocolate and just a little chardonnay. The leaves are making a carpeting pile all along the paths, a little crunchy now, and still a lot left up in the trees…

I’m riding along saying “Is it mine?” and “Give power to my goals…”

Dixie you never ceases to amaze me!

Friday old thoughts of subterfuge were tweaked started a small snowball effect which led to extremely pointed dreams for me over the weekend. Then yesterday I realized there’s been limited contact from a friend who was the main focus of my dreams which really got me going – this is NEVER a good thing for me ya know – all it does is turn up the volume on “wanting to know” & I actually wrote down a timeline relating to family activities & contact – sad but true!

Had another dream last night & it brought another person into the fold we were told was gone so I woke up a little freaked out thinking “shit she’s back”!! Then I read “feelings that visit in the night are internally generated” – you make me laugh sweet friend, you really do.

Almost every day I ready A Fool’s Journey first & I should’ve done this today before I started googling!

Love you honey, you are AMAZING!!

  • Kim says:

I’m doing good!! LOVE these cards – they are just beautiful. (Flying foxes. Cool!)
Yesterday was….interesting – like walking around a bunch of land mines. As long as I slowed down, paid attention, and didn’t let the Universe push me, I was fine. Got a lot done, too!
But I can always use another nap.
I tell the doggers Dixie said so.
