I went to a therapist once upon a time ago, just one visit during a patch when I felt like my life was a wreck. It kinda was a mess, if you want to know the long and short of it.
She told me, “Of course you feel that way. Look at what’s going on. I’d be worried about you if you didn’t feel that way.” And that was that.
It was nice to be reassured, I wasn’t losing it. To have “official permission” to feel lousy. But it would have been nice to find ways to feel better.
This week’s forecast reminds me of that time, and others like it in my life. There is an intensity to the energy here. Strong desires, strong emotions, and our job as I see it, is finding ways to feel better and keep grounding and pulling back to center. Because as you do that, you’re finally able to get whatever clarity you can from the experience and find ways to feel better.
That’s a nice description of a life I’d like to live, actually.
Get whatever clarity you can from the ride and find as many ways to feel good as possible.
This coming week? Do that. The week is a little sluggish in terms of the sort of progress most would like to see–especially midway through–but ends on a high note. Use your feelings to steer and you’ll fare just fine.

Monday, Opportunity Beckons (Four of Cups) – It’s a good day to consider possibilities that you’ve not entertained before. Look at what has not been on the table or already dismissed as unlikely, don’t. Thinking your way through is never as effective as feeling your way through. You can drive yourself insane trying to figure out details instead of allowing the Universe do the heavy lifting for you by lining up your energy.
Tuesday, Confront (the Moon) – Whatever drives you insane to see in others represents some uncomfortable energy in YOU. The only way something can push your buttons that way, it has to resonate with some level in you. Sorry! Is what it is. I wouldn’t think of dealing with this so much confrontation, but more being aware. Make peace with where you are, and accept it along with the decision, you’d like to keep moving to a more comfortable place. Aim love at yourself and it takes away a lot of the punch. This will help.
Wednesday, Manifest (Magician) – A very empowering energy. The polarity of wanted vs,. unwanted is highlighted. Many things go on in our lives we care about, but feel no control over, apparently external circumstances. But we do have control over how we feel, and that control is accessed in how you think about any given scenario. We have the power of framing. You can nudge yourself in the direction you want to go, looking for ways to think about it that feel better. Just look to feel a little better about it, a little better about it from wherever you stand, and keep on doing that. Practice that skill and it will serve you well.
Thursday, Sadness and Isolation, Three of Swords – You may not get everything you want, and it’s okay, it will be okay, it remains okay, always was and will be okay. But if you’re having a sad day and feeling a little beat up? That’s okay, too! Or if someone else is, around you. These blues don’t last very long and it’s not something you really have to fix. Just accept and love yourself as you are, and be kind. That help speeds along, brightens the tone and lightens up the energy very shortly.
Friday, Teach (the Hierophant) – Connecting with others in an educational format has the possibility to bring joy. Really, any mentally stimulating activity will do. You don’t try to “teach” anyone else how to be. The most powerful way to teach is through a clear example. Some might say it is the only way.
Saturday, Heart and Crown Chakra + Nurture (Empress) – Feed your heart and you’ll feed your soul at the same time. You’re looking for joy, something that feels creative, fun, activities that speak to the heart and spur your imagination. Sunday, Control (Strength) – The only control you have a right to exercise is over yourself. This is a kinda rocky feeling week. If you can get plugged in, open yourself up to possibilities you hadn’t considered in the flow of the week, challenge yourself to direct your responses to the outside world consciously directing your thoughts, and let unpleasant feelings pass. You inspire others not through pressure or persuasion, but through example, clarity and personal knowingness. This keeps you plugged in, that is where true control comes from. It’s a helpful approach in general.
Affirmation: I know who I really am. We’re all made out of the same stuff. Considering how many are feeling, understanding that we are spiritual beings living a physical experience. Knowing we’re all part of the same source energy, it will make harmony, love and healing a whole lot easier.
